S:6 ep 12 (spoilers)
Hey yall, first time posting here but had a quick question. Its my first time viewing the show, and I literally just paused this scene where the man in black asks desmond if he knows who he is, and desmond says "of course, you are john locke"
But since his memory of the three years on the island and all those who he lived with was already wiped when he got to the freighter (i.e after the last time he saw john) how would he know what he looked like, or who he even was?
Ive come across so many plot holes and im getting the sense that alot of them just never get explained but anywho, hope youre all well. take care

Favorite Backstory?
Whose backstory is your favorite? Least favorite?
For me, I love Jin and Sun’s stories. I really disliked Jin early on, then grew to love the character.
My least favorite backstory is Charlie. I like the character, I just didn’t really care for the backstory.

In episode 1x06, why did Kate suddenly not want to go to the caves, and why was she so emotional at the end of the episode?

Shannon seeing W…
Any theories as to why Shannon (and later Sayid) was able to see Walt in the jungle?
Walt was being held by the others, so he couldn’t physically be there… Also he wasn’t dead, so it couldn’t have been the Man In Black…
And wonder why water was coming out of his mouth…And how he could talk to Michael on the computer. I think they were planning for a big reveal (maybe Walt’s psychic powers) which never happened…

I love Kate
Complicated, passionate, loving, selfish, rash, and deeply caring. Even though I didn't find her flashback episodes as compelling as some others I still find myself really glad for Kate and admiring her.
Some of my favorite things about Kate: her never giving up on Claire, her not allowing child Ben to die from his wound despite what adult Ben did to her and the other survivors, her growth from someone paranoid and flighty to someone devoted and self-sacrificing. Also any time she worked with Sayid I loved it, they're such a cool duo.
Some Kate flop moments: organizing a heist to steal a keepsake from an ex-lover that got killed while helping her escape, terrorizing and shooting people in the process, making a huge deal out of keeping it a secret and then proceeding to never mention that ex-lover or keepsake ever again; marrying a COP while being a murderer on the run and then proceeding to tell him her entire story, drugging him, and running away again.
I love this messy character. Also, I never understood the hate around the love triangle, I found it interesting because she has amazing chemistry with both Sawyer and Jack. Anyway, all this to say that Kate is a character I came to really appreciate.

Funny inconsistency
In s6e15, the boy with black hair asks his “mom”, “what’s dead?” And less than 2 minutes later he says that some men killed a boar

Michael and Walt after the epilogue
I was so happy at the thought of Walt returning to the island after he's recruited by Hurley and Ben. I like to think he and Michael reconciled and they could both find each other again in the flash sideways. I'm a bit of a Michael apologist because he had such a rough life and was trying his best. His flaws were realistic ones and he was truly remorseful.

Is 'Lost' on Your List of Favourite THINGS?
To be crystal clear, I DO NOT mean "favourite TV shows".
This question refers specifically to whether you have a list of THINGS in your ENTIRE LIFE that you consider the absolute best things, things that not only bring you joy, but bring you a transcendent level of joys. Things without which your life would not have been as happy.
For context, things on my list, in no particular order, include...
Lost
Hamilton
Marvel Cinematic Universe
Vampire Weekend
Wu-Tang Clan
beignets
New York City
London
Tokyo
Honda Fit

Anybody Else Watch the 'Lost' Finale in a Cinema?
When the 'Lost' finale aired on May 23rd, 2010, I happened to be in Philadelphia for a Scrabble tournament, and for some reason I learned that the finale would be screening at an independent cinema in Wilmington, DE, and I rushed down after my tournament just in time to watch with an audience.
The experience was marvelous, with much crowd reaction and audible sobbing at the end, and I have always felt fortunate that I was able to experience this.
Did any of you watch at a cinema, or even in a public wenue (like a bar) with other fans?

Question on The Others
If the others didn't want anyone else on the island, and the island was not able to be found by outside folks, and the others knew the azmith to navigate to get rescued, why did they not just help the crash victims get home?
It seems like that would have quickly resolved all the issues for everyone without anyone dying.
