My re-watch binge cheat sheet
I am a fan from the original run and a friend of mine has been bugging me for over a year to watch this with them. Last week we began the ritual.
The usual ceremony was performed when the complete collection box set was reopened. Shockingly, the Pen light still works. (I'm still gunna replace those 15 year old batteries thou.)
Anyways, Jokes aside. Years ago (around 2014) I made a cheat sheet showing the best places to take breaks, and some episode rearrangements that fix the pacing problems that arise in a binge watch. This was stuffed inside the box and I completely forgot about it.
As a Christmas present to you all, I hastily copied my decade old notes into a google doc to share. There's a ton of shorthand. This is not definitive and is meant for someone who has seen the series and wants some spice in a re-watch. But I also made sure there no real spoilers, So this can be used for a first-time watch if you are the crazy type.
Enjoy.

Weird fact, The entire series breaks down neatly into 7 episode blocks. I have dubbed this the "Rule of 7" and frequently reference this on the sheet.

LOST Binge Rewatch Sheet
Spoiler: bit confused on the flash sideways in season 5/6
We see our losties going about their daily lives as teachers, cops, etc, and even running into each other and miles and sawyer being parters in law enforcement. I’m a bit confused with this one. This is all after jug dead exploded.
So it almost feels like this is the life they would have led had they never visited the island. I’m thinking this isn’t real because the plane “did” go down and everything on the island, and off, pre incident, happened. So what is this place? Are they in a holding pattern until they are all reunited? Should I just wait for this to be explained?

Season 1: Favorite Instances of the Numbers
Spoilers Ahead
On the Millennial TV Podcast, Jess is watching the show for the first time and I'm her Richard Alpert / Sherpa through her first time on the island. She's about to reach the episode Numbers in a few weeks and I want to be able to call back to all the fun appearances of the numbers that have already occurred in season 1. But instead of just an indexed list of all, cuz that's boring, thought it would be fun to get this community's opinion: what are your FAVORITE instances of the numbers so far? Kate's capture reward being 23 thousand dollars? The flight number itself being 815?
You can also send an email and I'll read and respond to it on the show: millennialtvpodcast@gmail.com

Lost Season 6 finale
Just watched the ending episode and man I've got so many questions. I liked the ending and it was really good and some moments were so emotional. Now I've got that empty feeling after finishing one of the best series I've watched. Last few weeks have been so good watching lost and I've loved it a lot.

Currently at "The Man from Tallahassee" on a rewatch, I think I finally understand Ben's box metaphor
From Ben : "What if I told you that somewhere on this island there's a very large box? And whatever you imagined, whatever you wanted to be in it, when you opened that box, there it would be. What would you say about that, John?"
I think Ben is talking about the core of the island, and if my theory that this energy is like Final Fantasy 7's lifestream is correct (ie. it's where all souls come from and go back to when a lifeform's physical envelope dies), it's also what allows the cast to have this shared dream after their deaths in season 6 (the flash-sideways). There sure was "whatever they wanted to be in it" so they could finally feel happy and complete before they moved on.
And it makes Locke's reply "I'd say I hope that box is big enough to imagine yourself up a new submarine" absolutely hilarious since he's thinking so down-to-earth physical stuff when Ben was thinking about spiritual stuff you crave for in your life like love, etc. 😂

What is your favorite Jack yelling quote?
I think mine is either “DAMMIt, KATE ,RUN” or “I MARRIED HER”
Edit: quote was “KATE, DAMMIT, RUN” my bad

Ben- a foil? Who is he in regards to Jack and John?
Hello, me again. I think I’m just in awe because I feel like I understand so much more about this show then in previous rewatches, and I love hearing other people’s thoughts.
We have Jack, the man of science, and John, the man of faith. I’m not sure how Ben is viewed as a main character but I’m curious where he fits in with that narrative? Albeit him being a terrible person who chose the island over his daughter, I think he’s a wildly interesting character too, and was wondering what people’s thoughts were on that
