One thing Asuperu Kanojo made me understand is that it's probably really stupid (and possibly hopeless) to expect my partner to have nearly perfectly matching interests. If that would be my criteria, I would for example never even considered someone like Megumi who I, like, I fell in love with. I guess it's more about having someone understanding the struggles and sharing the little things. But wouldn't it be so nice to do the things I love with someone who could also appreciate it...

If you really look at how things are, I seem to be afraid of exactly that. Even crying myself to sleep from loneliness almost daily feels like a better alternative to having to abandon my hobbies to accommodate for a new person in my life who does not get it. And honestly I do not see any way out of this situation.
