Whenever I think about killing myself I imagine someone else, someone dear to me saying what's occupying my head at the moment. And it always makes me so sad, often to the point of crying. I feel like I'd do literally anything for that poor being to give them the tiniest bit of hope and solace. This little exercise helps me remember that I should be kind to myself just like I am kind to those close to me.
