The Trump administration has officially turned against crypto in the US. This is a move coming from the top. There is a growing feud between Elon and Trump regarding the threat to Tesla's exports presented by the rising US dollar. I don't yet know how the power struggle will play out, but i know the aftershocks will be felt in London, Singapore, Tokyo, and Beijing.
As of 9:00AM EST on Monday, February 3rd, my employer, acting in concert with several other large banks as well as several members of the Trump family will coordinate a series of shorts against bitcoin to the tune of $500,000,000,000. Following this, the Trump administration will instruct the department of energy, via executive order, to reduce the purchasing allotment of all major cryptocurrency miners in the continental US, under the guise of reducing regulatory costs for the federal bureaucracy. Subsequent agency personnel cuts will make this change impossible to quickly reverse.
The goal of this plan, in addition to lining their own pockets, is to throw the Chinese economy into enough turmoil to cause an already precarious situation to go into collapse, effectively a financial nuclear war leaving only one side standing.
