🎲 Telegram Mini RPG: So you can play a ttrpg in any chat

- Create your character, describe their abilities, profession, or anything relevant

- You describe what you're trying to do

- GM chooses a Target Number from 2 to 5

- You roll the die

- If you roll equal or higher you succeed, if you roll lower you fail

- If you're rolling against another character, instead of a TN, both of you roll and the highest wins

- The GM may give you +1 or -1 depending on the circumstance, abilities, etc.

- If it's an attack, the loser takes a hit. Players can take 3 hits, NPCs may vary. (Players may have more hits based on armor, or if the story is very combat-based)

🎲 How to GM an instant adventure:

- Describe the place

- Ask the players what they're doing in that place

- Tell the players what danger, problem or enemy is about to appear

- Ask the players what they're going to do

- So on so forth

I finished Mushoku Tensei season 1

I have things to say

As an addendum, turns out the first time I watched, I actually didn't finish it; it seems there were only 13 or so episodes at the time so I hadn't actually finished it before, I just thought that was that.

I'll just say everything people talk about it is true. The worldbuilding and story are fantastic and the animation is amazing. And the main character is a piece of shit and it's hard to feel empathy for someone so disgusting.

He's genuinely trying and I won't say I didn't feel bad for him sometimes, but I don't think he deserves my sympathy. He crosses a line beyond how much stereotypical perverted anime protagonist I can tolerate.

I guess what I mean is, I want to like him, but man, I just want to beat him up every time he harasses someone in the show. Does everything he does to help others and make them happy make up for the gross shit he also does sometimes?

I don't know, I'm having as much of a hard time hating him as I have liking him. Maybe the problem is me and I'm hyperfixating too much on this single character flaw. I get what the story is trying to say, but uuuurgh

I hate to feel conflicted about this because its otherwise a great anime. I just wish I could enjoy it without the caveat of having to tolerate a piece of shit protagonist. But I guess this is why I prefer trusting my own instincts instead of what other people say about anime. I wish I never had watched it in the first place.

8/10. I don't know if I will watch the second season. I need to bleach my mind for now.
