The game isn't turn based, but your gear and job will give you special choices in various situations

You'll also have resources like Health, Energy and Hunger, and they can go down based on your choices

For example, if you have to move a big rock out of the way, you'll lose -2 Energy, but if you're a Thug or an Engineer, you can do it with no penalty (the thug being very strong, and the engineer can build a lever)

The first quest after character creation will be to look for a source of fresh water, because you're in the middle of a canyon and you're running out of supplies
