Meta 旗下的 Instagram 正在开发代号为 P92、Project 92 或 Barcelona 的微博客应用，预计最快将在 6 月下旬推出，其每条微博限制在 500 字以内，可添加链接、照片和视频，某种意义上像是 Instagram 和 Twitter 的杂交。更值得注意是新的微博客服务将有去中心元素，可兼容联邦平台如 Mastodon，Mastodon 等平台的用户可以搜索和关注 Instagram 的微博，如果账号是私有，添加关注需要获得批准。
