Do you understand what my app does?
Hi,
I'm trying to improve my app store denoscription and screenshots. Do you understand what my app does just by looking at them? If you do, but feel the denoscription and/or screenshots don't convey it well, I'm looking for suggestions. If you don't, please tell me as well :)
Thanks 🙏

Spokenly best local model
Hey guys, I just wanted to know what your thoughts are on what the best Local model , Spokenly has to offer, particularly on IOS devices.
There's so many options of different whisper models to choose from. Which one do you find has the best speed and accuracy balance?
Parakeet is also another option that's really popular as well as it's really fast and accurate as well, but is it better than whisper models?
Anyways, just wanted to know what your guys' thoughts are on what the best local model on Spokenly iOS would be.

Any recommendations for AI MAC app that uses CLI backend?
Edit: I think I may have found one, BUT are there others?
https://github.com/iOfficeAI/AionUi
I watched a recent NetworkChuck video demoing AI use in the CLI. Extremely powerful but it has me wondering if someone has create an app as a CLI wrapper to minimize the CLI tasks, folder creation, summarize most useful info like context usage and token usage, agent creation, etc. This would not be an webapp because the CLI can be given access to local machine, local network, and internet and all of the context history, agent context is stored locally which is a big deal.

Input Needed: Photo/Video Storage Reducer for iPhones
Hello everyone,
I’m a new developer working on an app to help iPhone users efficiently manage and reduce their photo and video storage without compromising image quality. The aim is to free up device space while keeping photos easily accessible and secure. I’m at an early stage and eager to understand your biggest storage pain points and which features would matter most to you.
I’d love to hear what kind of user experience or functionality would make a storage management app truly valuable. What would motivate you to try or even pay for such a tool? Also, any ideas on how to best test and get real user feedback would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks for taking the time to share your thoughts—looking forward to learning from this community!

I am in no way related to Bloom. But I love the development speed and feel of the app. What are your top 10 feature requests in order of most important. It doesn't have to be 10, if you only have a few.

My Top 101 Quality Apps
I recently reformatted because several hundred apps were unused and many left rubbish behind. I recovered 500 GB, and some may be interested in what I kept.
Here's my top 101 quality apps in a format we all know and hate... the ugly Google Sheet.
Let me know if you'd like to turn this into a crowdsourced list where the r/MacApps community can submit quality apps via a quick form to populate the list. If there's enough interest, I'll create one with quality thresholds to prevent spam.

Need I the iOS Setapp version to get iOS premium features as well?
Hi,
I want to use Setapp for some apps. My question: When Inuse spark desktop version for example, will I get the premium features for iOS as well? Or did I need the subnoscription with the iOS ?
Thanks

Setapp Pricing - Advertised Price is not the same as Charged Price

I used the Setapp free trial maybe 2 or 3 months back, while it does offer some cool things I could not justify $30.00/mo for it, so ultimately passed. I've seen some other posts with pricing online, and what is offered to me does not seem to match up with what I've seen elsewhere. When I go to Setapps website, the plan I would like (Mac + iOS) is listed as $12.49/Mo. When I log into my account to reactivate my plan, the same plan is listed as $30.99/Mo. Why is that? If it were the $12.49 I'd likely be a regular subscriber, Now I just plan to use it for a month or so to see which apps I like the best and get them individually. I have Add AI and save 10% annually marked off for both plans. Why is it actually more than double in price?

For those who don't mind paying one time for apps, but won't pay for a subnoscription, do you expect the developers to update the apps forever to make them run on future macOS versions?
Just wondering. So many of you said that you didn't mind paying for good apps, but also said that you would not pay for subnoscription-based apps.

Trying to find this old Mac app from around 2020
Hey all!
I used to use an app on my MacBook (around mid-2020) that had an always-on sidebar where you could pin your social media apps, things like WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook Messenger, etc. It showed little badge notifications whenever you got messages or updates.
I think it might have been called Stack, it may have morphed into Stack Browser, which looks similar but that is more cluttered than it was, or something really similar? It was like a unified dashboard for all your web apps and socials hub.
Does anyone remember this, or know if it still exists under another name?
