#Russia #Zakharova:
#US should stop lecturing Russia and mind its own problems

Competence of White House officials a bad advertisement for quality of US education
She was responding to comments by US Under Secretary of State Victoria Nuland, who was asked at a press briefing on Tuesday about Moscow’s military financing. “Were I a Russian citizen,” she replied, “I would want to see the wealth applied to the healthcare system, to the education system, to the roads, the same kinds of conversations that we’re having here in the United States, rather than hemorrhaging money on a created crisis and putting their own military out there in the snow.”
Zakharova hit out at Nuland personally, writing, “Victoria, remain a US citizen and think about the same thing, but in relation to your own country – there are heaps of problems.”
She went on to criticize the American school system, healthcare, and infrastructure, saying, “the quality of American education is well-attested by the absurd, mistake-riddled statements coming from White House officials.” Zakharova also claimed that the American response to the Covid-19 pandemic proved that its healthcare system was broken.

Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Ryabkov said that “war specialists are constantly offering options to the president in the event that conditions deteriorate.”
The diplomat remarked that “this is a difficult subject,” and that it should be handled with care in the public space because it in itself is “a rocking of the situation.” He also said that it is vital to “give diplomacy a chance.”
Ryabkov also hinted that Russia could conduct naval exercises if the West continues to provoke Moscow, but said that there is no appetite to do so. When asked about whether the possibility of deploying the country’s military infrastructure to Venezuela or Cuba had been considered, the official replied that “I don't want to confirm anything, I won't rule anything out here either."

As Radzikhovsky concludes, “All the presidents, senators, political science professors, famous publicists and journalists cannot lie so brazenly! Of course they can. Lying is their craft, and if they don’t lie, what will they say?”
Radzikhovsky comments that those who think Russia will invade Ukraine assume that Putin is a maniac in the mould of Adolf Hitler. But there is absolutely no reason to believe that he is.
In 2008, Radzikhovsky notes, the Russians had destroyed the Georgian Army. They could have entirely conquered Georgia if they had wanted. Instead, they turned around and went home. Would Hitler have done such a thing? Certainly not.
None of this suggests that Putin or the Russian leadership as a whole are Hitlerite lunatics bent on invading and occupying a foreign country. Rather, it points to a system that is prepared to use force when necessary, but which imposes very strict limits on it when it does. This is, of course, somewhat different to the approach of the United States and its allies, which have shown themselves quite willing to engage in total war, as they did in their invasion of Iraq.

Spain’s highest court has rejected a long-running lawsuit brought by former oligarch Sergey 'Putin's banker' Pugachev which demanded Russia pay more than $14 billion in damages, rejecting an appeal against a previous legal ruling.

After Kazakhstan, the color revolution era is over

What happened in Kazakhstan increasingly looks like a US-Turkish-British-Israeli-led coup d'etat attempt foiled dramatically by their Eurasian adversaries

The only way it can be important "who" counts the votes is when different parties count votes differently - he's actually saying he wants votes to be counted differently:

"US: The age of spheres of influence is over.
RUSSIA: Okay, we will send troops to Cuba then.
US: You can't, because that is our sphere of influence.
RUSSIA: But Ukraine is our sphere of influence, so you get out of there.
