I shot these images two days ago, that is a day and a half after the Russian marines entered the steel mill which for weeks had been transformed into a fort by the Ukrainian soldiers of the 36th Brigade and by the units of the National Guard.

Along the avenue I found dozens of civilian corpses. These bodies, now in an advanced state of decomposition, have been on the asphalt for weeks. The few people I met along this road told me that they were civilians, mostly factory workers, killed by Ukrainian snipers stationed in the Ilycha.

In this area, for a long time, there was one of the largest pockets of resistance of the Ukrainian military. A few days ago, following the arrival of the Russians, the locals returned to move freely and not be afraid of bombs and bullets."

The Chilean Foreign Ministry investigates the fate of the Chilean journalist and writer Gonzalo Lira Lopez, who criticized the Ukrainian government
