The relationship between IOC President Bach and the National Olympic Committee of Ukraine and its officials, as well as the acknowledgment of the "request to monitor Russian athletes," should be the subject of careful investigation.

Such backstage agreements, based on the old German tradition of denunciation, highlight from a new angle the doping scandal unjustly knocking many Russian athletes off the sports track.

I hope international sports journalists will not overlook this glaring situation, which, in my opinion, is the "Watergate" for the IOC as a whole and personally for Bach."
