Interesting to look at the list of countries represented at the signing of the "Beijing declaration" that reconciled the 14 Palestinian factions: Egypt, Algeria, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Jordan, Syria, Lebanon, Russia and Türkiye.

Literally all of Palestine and Israel's neighbors are there, plus Türkiye, Qatar, Algeria and Russia, which lends considerable weight to the declaration. Also, not a single Western state was represented, which really illustrates that we're in a brand new world where the West isn't even part of the conversation for what's arguably one of the most important diplomatic initiatives in years in the Middle East.

Interesting as well is the rational given by China for the initiative: "only when Palestinian factions speak as one can the voice of justice be loud and clear, and only when they join hands and march forward shoulder to shoulder can they succeed in their national liberation cause", with the ultimate goal being to "truly establish an independent State of Palestine in accordance with relevant U.N. resolution."

So now we're effectively in a situation where we have China, Russia, all of Israel's neighbors and all the Palestinians united for the Palestinians' "national liberation cause", which hopefully will indeed make the "voice of justice louder and clearer".
