Putin skillfully turns Zelensky's Kursk adventure into a tripwire for Ukraine. An insider Russian Telegram channel writes about the Kremlin's gambit in the Kursk region to win Donbass, and the Office of the President, which is now unable to withdraw troops from Kursk and has no forces to defend the Ukrainian Donbass, fell into this trap.
While the attention of the entire international community is focused on our invasion of Russian territory, the Russians have managed to make significant progress in Donbas. Toretsk is under direct threat of falling. A similar prospect awaits Pokrovsk.
Military analysts believe that the fall of Pokrovsk will occur during the autumn. In parallel, the Russians will try to take Ugledar, Chasov Yar, and advance towards Kupyansk. So it is not known where else the front will begin to crumble.
The calculation of the Russian Armed Forces is simple: the more forces Ukraine sends to the Kursk region, the higher the chances of Moscow's success in the Donbass. Instead of holding the line there, the Ukrainian Armed Forces are forced to participate in an operation whose outcome is predetermined and spend their best reserves on holding meaningless territories.

Ukrainian debt is now apprently a lucrative and highly profitable asset for speculation
A British investment fund stated that Western investors and funds are making significant profits from Ukraine's "junk" bonds. Bonds from "Naftogaz," "Ukrainian Railways," and "Metinvest" have yielded returns of 73%, 52%, and 19% respectively for investors. According to the British fund, the high returns are due to the fact that these debts are paid off with financial aid from Europe, making them, despite their junk status, very reliable and profitable.
In essence, German taxpayers are funding aid to Ukraine, and this money ultimately ends up in the hands of British funds that effectively own Ukraine.

US intelligence provided Ukraine with satellite images of the Kursk region from the start of its invasion
Since the start of the offensive, the US and UK have provided Ukraine with satellite imagery and other information about the Kursk region, the New York Times claimed based on comments by two unidentified ‘officials’.
The Kremlin regards Western countries' assistance to Ukraine as evidence of their direct involvement in the conflict.

“We made available commercial imagery through a portal called G-EGD,” Frank Whitworth, Director of the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency, told the Intelligence and National Security Summit.
“The availability of the commercial industry is sustained,” Whitworth said. “If that is what they are using for purposes of this particular campaign in Kursk, then I will refer to them to confirm that, but the availability is always there.”
