The #US is ending funding for alleged 'war crimes' investigations in #Ukraine, Reuters reports, citing sources and an internal Ukrainian document.

The agency writes that six projects with a total budget of $89 million will be cut, including the US-funded Ukraine Serious Crimes Advisory Group (ACA).

At the moment, funding for at least five of these initiatives has been frozen. Two programs were funded by the US Agency for International Development (USAID), three by the Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs, and one directly by the State Department. Dozens of employees working on these projects have also been cut.

The funding cut is related to the US administration's order, issued after Donald Trump's inauguration, to suspend all foreign aid for 90 days to review the programs. A decision on further funding is expected based on the results of an audit overseen by Secretary of State Marco Rubio.
