Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov has said that the United States suggested at today’s talks to ban attacks on Russian and Ukrainian energy facilities.
“Today, our American colleagues said that maybe there should be some kind of a moratorium on attacks on energy facilities,” Russia’s top diplomat said when responding to a question by TASS regarding the recent attack by the Ukrainian armed forces against the Kropotkin Pump Station.
“We clarified that we have never threatened systems supplying power to civilians, and that only the sites directly supplying the Ukrainian armed forces have been our targets,” Lavrov stated.
