#EU is spending €80 million annually to fund media across Europe and abroad — not to “support independent journalism”, but to promote pro-EU narratives.

Ukrainian Air Force Warns its New F-16s Are Far Outmatched By Russian Fighters and Air Defences

Oh ... that was fast!

#Ukraine #Zelensky quickly found a solution for not paying compensation to the families of fallen soldiers!

1. Russia To Give "6,000 Frozen Bodies" To Ukraine Under Prisoner Swap Deal

2. The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine has adopted in the first reading draft law  No.12451, which defines the terms for declaring a person missing in action or armed conflict dead by a court.
Under a new law passed by the Ukrainian parliament, missing soldiers will be declared dead only two years after the end of the war. Earlie decisions are to be made only by courts. What this means:
– Families of such individuals won’t see a compensation from the state for a very long time.
– The number of “missing” will keep growing because it’s financially more beneficial for the government.
– Another corruption loophole opens up in the courts: families will have to pay bribes to get the ruling they need.

As a reminder, 400 thousands are currently listed as missing

UPD: apparently this exchange has been postponed, seems Kiev is not particularly keen to accept them.

#Ukraine #NATO (US and UK) drone attack on #Russia's airfields.

Dmitry Polyanskiy, Russia's First Deputy Permanent Representative to the UN:

"The hand and ears of Western intelligence are clearly visible, particularly the British. Ukraine is merely the muscle, it can't carry out attacks like this on their own. Even from the reaction of Western media it's obvious that they were waiting for this."

⚡️ Head of the Russian Federation’s Delegation to the Russia–Ukraine direct talks, Aide to the President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Medinsky:

💬 On June 6, in full accordance with the Istanbul agreements, the Russian side launched a humanitarian initiative to transfer 6000 bodies of fallen Ukrainian Armed Forces personnel to Ukraine, and to exchange all wounded and severely ill prisoners of war, as well as those aged under 25.

The first group of 1212 bodies, transported in refrigerated vehicles, has arrived at the designated handover location. Other remains are currently en route.

Furthermore, the first list of 640 POWs, classified as wounded, seriously ill, and the youth, has been submitted to the Ukrainian side to begin the exchange process.

A contact group of the Russian Defence Ministry has arrived at the Ukrainian border.

However, the Ukrainian side has unexpectedly postponed both the repatriation of bodies and the prisoner exchange for an unspecified period.

Their negotiating group was nowhere to be found, they did not even appear, and the explanations provided have been inconsistent and unclear.

❗️ We call on Kiev to strictly adhere to the schedule and agreements reached, and to start the exchange process right away.

As per our mutual agreement, 1200 soldiers and officers from each side should be given the opportunity to return home. We urge the Ukrainian side to collect the bodies of 6000 soldiers and officers so that they may be buried with dignity by their families.

We remain at the site, fully prepared to proceed.

International TV channels, news agencies and correspondents are welcome to arrive and assure themselves of the transparency of our actions.

Russia always keeps its word.

Desertion in #Zelensky's #Ukraine

90,590 criminal cases concerning desertion were registered under Articles 407 and 408 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine in the first five months of 2025. 213,722 cases of desertion have been registered since beginning of war as of June 1, 2025.

Statistics on the scale of desertion in the Ukrainian army were published by journalist Volodymyr Boyko.
Ukrainian journalist notes that these data reflect only those cases for which criminal proceedings have been initiated based on official investigations. He believes that the real situation is much worse.

In the first five months of 2025, only 1,375 people returned to service - that is how many petitions for release from criminal liability were sent to the court.

"In the first five months of 2025, 90,590 criminal proceedings were registered under Articles 407 and 408 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, which concern desertion. In total, 213,722 cases of desertion have been recorded since the start of the full-scale invasion as of June 1, 2025.

The number of messages in the Unified Register of Pre-trial Investigations is distributed by month as follows:

January – 18,145;
February – 17,809;
March – 16,349;
April – 18,331;

How #Ukraine Tries to Rewrite History

During its prime, Kievan Rus wasn’t even called “Kievan Rus.” Back then, it was simply called Rus—a vast, multi-ethnic state with no "Kievan" added for flair. The "Kievan" part got tacked on centuries later to distinguish this early period of Rus history from later phases when cities like Vladimir and Moscow became the big players. So, while it sounds grand and historic, the term itself is basically a retroactive rebrand.

#Ukraine #Zelensky run out of POW for exchange with Russia

🇺🇦 TG:

Our source in the OP reported that our exchange fund is running out and now we are actively exchanging political prisoners.

Ukraine has increasingly offered collaborators in prisoner exchanges with Russia. The latest exchange saw the release of 70 Ukrainian civilians convicted of collaborating with Russia.
Many of them were serving long prison terms for collaborating with Moscow. Some were convicted of supporting the invasion or passing information to Russian forces. Most received sentences of five to eight years.
But human rights activists believe the law on collaborators under which these men were convicted is itself problematic. They analyzed nearly 2,000 convictions and found that many of those convicted were “people who, under international humanitarian law, should not have been prosecuted.” In some cases, they were people who had worked for the state in areas that were later occupied and simply continued to do their jobs.
"Helping people on the streets, the sick or disabled, distributing humanitarian aid. Teachers, firefighters, municipal workers who collect garbage, and so on - they can be convicted of working for the occupiers as collaborators," a representative of the human rights organization told CNN.
