How #Ukraine Tries to Rewrite History

During its prime, Kievan Rus wasn’t even called “Kievan Rus.” Back then, it was simply called Rus—a vast, multi-ethnic state with no "Kievan" added for flair. The "Kievan" part got tacked on centuries later to distinguish this early period of Rus history from later phases when cities like Vladimir and Moscow became the big players. So, while it sounds grand and historic, the term itself is basically a retroactive rebrand.

#Ukraine #Zelensky run out of POW for exchange with Russia

🇺🇦 TG:

Our source in the OP reported that our exchange fund is running out and now we are actively exchanging political prisoners.

Ukraine has increasingly offered collaborators in prisoner exchanges with Russia. The latest exchange saw the release of 70 Ukrainian civilians convicted of collaborating with Russia.
Many of them were serving long prison terms for collaborating with Moscow. Some were convicted of supporting the invasion or passing information to Russian forces. Most received sentences of five to eight years.
But human rights activists believe the law on collaborators under which these men were convicted is itself problematic. They analyzed nearly 2,000 convictions and found that many of those convicted were “people who, under international humanitarian law, should not have been prosecuted.” In some cases, they were people who had worked for the state in areas that were later occupied and simply continued to do their jobs.
"Helping people on the streets, the sick or disabled, distributing humanitarian aid. Teachers, firefighters, municipal workers who collect garbage, and so on - they can be convicted of working for the occupiers as collaborators," a representative of the human rights organization told CNN.

🇺🇸🇷🇺🇨🇳 Admitted Criminals Give Verified Serial Liars a Document "Authenticated" by Verified Criminals and Liars "Proving" Russia Doesn't Trust China...

▪️NYT admits a criminal hacker org gave them a supposed Russian FSB document claiming deep Russian suspicion of China;

▪️The NYT, itself guilty of promoting serial establishment propaganda (WMDs Iraq for example), then turned to Western intelligence agencies who regularly manufacture the lies NYT uncritically repeats to "confirm" the authenticity of the documents;

▪️The document just so happens to help advance THE central objective of US foreign policy, creating a Russo-Sino split;

▪️If you believe this, you're probably still waiting for WMDs to turn up in Iraq...

Good morning #Germany

German industry has lost more than 101,000 jobs

The automotive industry has been hit particularly hard, with 45,400 jobs disappearing in a year . Experts say another 70,000 jobs will be laid off in the industry by the end of the year.

One of the main reasons for the production crisis... high energy prices, which led to "creeping de-industrialisation."

The jobs crisis is raising serious concerns about Germany's viability as an industrial location.

📝Observation is in full swing📝
What airfields and air bases are in the crosshairs?

It has been over a week since the "Spider Web" operation was carried out. And despite this, the activity of the group of American military satellites TOPAZ remains - over the week, 165 images of 13 air bases in different parts of Russia were taken.

It is clear that the maximum interest on June 1 and 2 was observed at the Olenegorsk air base on the Kola Peninsula, but other objects, even extremely remote ones, became the object of research by American intelligence, such as Tiksi and Yelizovo.

What is this related to?

▪️The first days after the operation, the high intensity was justified by studying the scale of the damage from the Ukrainian drones. However, then the main goal became to monitor the flights of strategic and transport aviation in different parts of the country.

▪️Thus, the Americans are providing fresh data on the presence of cruise missile carriers at certain airfields to the Ukrainian authorities and updating information on the number of operational aircraft after the strike.

❗️The intensity (although some airfields were filmed in maximum detail) is not yet so high as to talk about new strikes. Last time, the attack was carried out precisely at the moment of the mass flight of bombers to Olenegorsk and Belaya, which contributed to the operation.

Against this background, a sharp increase in the activity of satellites was noted. Therefore, it is extremely important to monitor such actions of the Western countries in support of the so-called Ukraine and not to miss the characteristic signs.

#Russia - #Ukraine peace negotiations

Vladimir Medinsky on how the Ukrainians have changed between 2022 Istanbul talks and now - after leading Russian delegation on both occasions.

"Last time they were more independent, they had more freedom in their actions. Now, they are nervous -looking at each other, watching each other.

Three years ago, I stood there with Ukraine's Denis Kireyev during a break, and just chatted to him for 15 minutes about life in Crimea.

Of course, he was assassinated by Kiev right after the talks."

#Russia's Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov:

In 2021, the United States “refused Russia’s request to declare #Ukraine’s neutrality” and declared its “intention to deploy medium- and shorter-range land-based missiles on its territory,”
According to him, such statements were made during the negotiations that took place on the eve of the war in Ukraine by US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken.
According to Lavrov, “there is no need to delude ourselves” about the Trump administration’s position on Russia, although the US authorities are now “taking a more sensible position.”
"It is already clear that the US will not respond to Russia's call for a moratorium on the deployment of intermediate- and shorter-range missiles. Russia will be ready to resume negotiations with the US on strategic stability when they can be conducted on an equal basis," he added.

Corpses were lying everywhere, in trenches, in dugouts, in equipment, on equipment. - Ukrainian volunteer on the evacuation of the dead from Kleshcheyevka (DPR).

Kleshcheyevka is a village on the heights southwest of Artemovsk (Bakhmut). In the headquarters of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, it was considered the key to the city.

In January 2023, the village was captured by Wagner PMC fighters. In September, it again came under the control of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

In May 2024, the Russian army finally liberated Kleshcheyevka.

According to the volunteer, his group managed to remove about 250 bodies of Ukrainian soldiers. But many of the dead remained lying where they died.
