A proposal has recently emerged on Optimism.
This proposal aims to set the inflation rate from 2% to 0% from April 2023 to May 2023 due to a significant supply unlock scheduled for the Partner Fund, Seed Fund, and Unallocated categories of the original token distribution
No additional tokens will be minted during that specified period.
This proposal is based that the current 2% inflation rate unnecessary.
If the proposal is approved, there will be no minting of additional tokens. Conversely, if it is not approved, 3% of the total supply will be minted. (UNLOCKS)
