Syrian Foreign Minister Asaad al-Sheibani, referring to Israel:

As Israel seeks to protect its security, it must respect the security of others.

We renewed our commitment to the 1974 agreement, which requires the separation of forces between Syrian territory and the Israeli border, allowing both sides to maintain their security under international supervision.

We call on the international community, the UN, and friendly countries to exert pressure on Israel to withdraw from Syrian territory.

In the past, Israel used Hezbollah, the Assad regime, and Iranian militias as an excuse to attack Syria.

Now that these threats have been removed, it must respect Syria's sovereignty and stop interfering.
