This depends on the parser. Some parsers support parsing strings "NaN" and "Infinity", some don't. Also, you can just filter out all non-normal floats after parsing anyway

The IEEE floating point standard supports the 'number' infinity, that makes me wonder if I were to somehow enter a character with that value if it would be classed as a string or number
