DEVELOPMENT UPDATES

1. Android Wallet v1.0.1 update now available on Google Play.
Please update to the latest version of the Android wallet. This update includes the fix to show the correct balance along with other bug fixes.

2. OLD wallet will be NO LONGER SUPPORTED from December 1, 2018.
If you haven't yet, please switch over to the New wallet which is available for download in the Google Play Store (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.microbitcoin)
There are two basic ways to transfer to the New wallet (make sure to backup your recovery phrase in both cases):
a. send ALL funds to the new wallet.
b. import your recovery phrase into the New wallet.

3. microbitcoin.org will get a new look!
MicroBitcoin aims to be a payment protocol and to provide better understanding and connecting more users, a new website with a new look is coming soon.

4. Updated UI for Block Explorer, Web Wallet and Paper Wallet

MicroBitcoin will continue to be ASIC-resistant.

There have been recent introductions of ASIC-miners to the MicroBitcoin ecosystem. This being against what MicroBitcoin stands for, the developers are already underway to develop a new custom proof-of-work algorithm to keep ASICs away.

The development contributors would like to let fellow MBCians know that they are working on it and will implement it as soon as it's ready.

We have exciting news MBCians. The current website microbitcoin.org will undergo updates and will not be accessible during this time.
