The MBC community is going to start 2019 with a huge update.

Mirinae Developers Needed - NVIDIA/AMD

Hello MBCians, the developer team would like to get as much help as possible to prepare the deployment of the new Mirinae ASIC-Resistant algorithm.

So far Mirinae support has been added to:
- Core daemon
- CPU miner
- ElectrumX (python3 module)
- Yiimp pool

They're looking for somebody who can assist to implement Mirinae (especially Kupyna hash primitive for Nvidia and AMD miners like ccminer and sgminer).

**Network Upgrade: Rainforest**

MBCians, we are firing up engines! The network upgrade is set to happen at 830,000th block which is estimated to occur on March 6, 2019, at 00:00 UTC.

**Please avoid making any transactions 10 blocks before and after the network upgrade.**

Rainforest, is the new anti-ASIC algorithm that will be implemented in the upgrade. this way, mining will continue to be decentralized.

Less than 12 hours to go!
The new algorithm "Rainforest" will soon be implemented in less than 12 hours. If you haven't updated you daemon yet, head over to the latest release page and update.

Difficulty Too High
The expected block 830,000 is at a very high difficulty due to a minor bug that was to lower the difficulty at that block, instead will be at the next block. Which takes much longer time for the miners to mine.

To fix this, the developers are going to release a fixed updated patch in the next 30 minutes.

Network Upgrade Successful
The new RAINFOREST algorithm has been successfully implemented to the MicroBitcoin network.

1. Visit this link.
2. Pick one of the IP addresses listed.
3. Execute the following command using the MicroBitcoin CLI, or in the QT wallet's debug window:

addnode SELECTED_IP_HERE add
