Network Upgrade Successful
The new RAINFOREST algorithm has been successfully implemented to the MicroBitcoin network.

Credits to the developers who put in a lot of effort in the new implementation. Let's all look forward to taking MBC further into innovating the industry.

Having Connection Errors?
Those facing difficulty connecting to the network during initial the sync:
1. Visit this link.
2. Pick one of the IP addresses listed.
3. Execute the following command using the MicroBitcoin CLI, or in the QT wallet's debug window:

addnode SELECTED_IP_HERE add

The application should find and connect with peers on the network. See wiki post here.

Update news: adoption of blake2b hashing algorithm
Rainforest v2 is running slow and is causing slow syncing at the moment. MicroBitcoin is going to adopt the blake2b hashing algorithm for block indexing and rainforest for the Proof-of-Work.

Testnet has been reset now and you can check the new code here.

Rainforest v.2 is almost ready to be activated!
Major updates to the algo have been finalized.
The release containing Rainforest v2 (RFv2) proof-of-work algo and blake2b block indexing can be found here

We will being providing some details about the algorithm in the coming days so stay tuned!

Network Upgrade: Rainforest v2
T-minus 9 days and counting!
The network upgrade is set to happen at 910,000th block which is estimated to occur on May 2, 2019, at 14:00 UTC.

Please avoid making any transactions 10 blocks before and after the network upgrade.

This update has made major updates to the Rainforest algorithm as well as making it faster. This is the next iteration to decentralized mining!
