Also, in other updates, we're looking to work with mining pools soon after the premine is complete to provide a more secure network. After the recent 51% attacks, including ZenCash, it's vital we proceed in safe manner to protect users on the MBC network. And lastly, developers interested in working on MBC please feel free to contact us as we can work to build a faster and cheaper protocol for everyone to use.

Hello fellow community members. We’d like to provide you with the latest updates as it has been quite a journey so far in terms of development. We have been able to implement most of the specifications outlined in the white paper thus far and looking forward to using it quite soon. The hard fork nodes are running and we’re reaching out to miners and node hosts to secure the MBC network further. The development specifications outlined in the white paper seems to have been quite a challenge but we see light at the end of the tunnel now.
The development team is working to release an Android based wallet first as soon as possible, Q3 is mentioned in the roadmap and we hope to release the wallet by the end of next week, followed by iOS thereafter depending on Apple’s terms the release date may vary. The team is coordinating from different parts of the world and this wouldn’t be possible without them.

Kind reminder that this project is a hard fork and not an ICO. We will NOT send you a message asking for any money. Please be cautious.

Due to recent server errors reported by the community, the team will be performing maintenance and necessary upgrades to the infrastructure on July 2, 2018 at 1:00:00 AM UTC and expect to be completed by July 2, 2018 at 9:00:00 AM UTC. The website may not be accessible during this period.

The scheduled maintenance has been completed and the website is back to normal. There have been minor changes to the backend and if there are any issues while browsing the website, please let us know.

Updates on the development of wallets.
The developer team is working to be ready in time for the release of the Android wallet this weekend. As for iOS, the approval process may take more time. We thank you for your patience.

This is a notice to the #한국어 community.

We thank you for participating in the community, however, there seems to be lots of confusion related to a few important matters that this project:
- please read and understand the rules mentioned in the second post of #announcements and the respective translation pinned by the contributors in your channel.
- is a HARDFORK and NOT and ICO.
- is open source and all members are contributors of an open source project.
- has developers that are across the world coordinating to contribute towards the running of this project.
- does NOT ASK or TAKE any form of money to return/give you with MBC.
- wallets are in development and will be released once they are ready for a stable release.
- please watch the videos provided in #what-is-a-hardfork to learn more about the project.
- if you're a developer, reach out to us to discuss possible areas to build upon.

We'd like you to understand that the development and its progress are not a service to any of us but a platform we look forward to abide by Satoshi Nakamoto's original proposal, a *decentralized peer-to-peer payments protocol*.

Mining Pools
We're soon heading into the main phase of the operations and would like to discuss the mining operations of MBC via pools. The current dev team is looking at using the widely used node-stratum-pool to build a custom version and open source it. Please join #mining-pool to discuss further.

A big shout out to the community in South Korea for taking their time and effort to participate in the Queer Parade that took place over the weekend. The participation is not only for MBC but as for the cryptocurrency community as a whole to share the idea of open collaboration and diversity that are core to this project. With such young technology like blockchain that has only come to light in the recent year, this project aims to provide a peer-to-peer micro-payments platform and we are very much open to contributions as an open source community.

- daemon builds are finalized and will be released in the next couple of days! Miners, developers, exchanges, and esteem community members, let's aim for 1000 full nodes for a more stable and secure network to be running 🙂

- TESTNET is also LIVE! Fellow devs join #testnet for further discussions *(faucet is still in the making but you can technically mine for some coins)*.

- current block height is at 525,012 after the dev team had to mine a few blocks to make sure that new blocks that have been mined are accepted by the network.

- miners please join #mining-pool to discuss more about mining. The devs are ready to provide support as this is important for the development and functioning of MBC WALLETS.

MicroBitcoin Daemon and CLI Release
The developer team would like to thank everyone for their patience and would like to announce the release of the first Daemon and CLI builds for MicroBitcoin Protocol. The builds are available for LINUX and OSX at the moment.

MINING POOLS
If you're running a pool, feel free to add MBC and if there are any problems, please discuss it in the #mining-pool channel. There are two repositories forked from zone117x/node-stratum-pool and zone117x/node-open-mining-portal for MicroBitcoin which are <https://github.com/MicroBitcoinOrg/NodeStratumPool> and <https://github.com/MicroBitcoinOrg/Pool> respectively. The provided pool is still under development and looking for contributors to help complete it.

WALLET & EXPLORER DEVELOPERS
Developers looking to build wallets and explorers, the core developers have started an ElectrumX Server repository which can be found here <https://github.com/MicroBitcoinOrg/ElectrumX>. It is in working condition but may be buggy. Feel free to setup your server and build!
