Notice - On September 3rd, we entered into a strategic partnership with Daesung Metal Co., Ltd. (annual sales of 300 billion KRW), a leading precious metal refining company in South Korea, to serve as the custodian for the issuance of the SILVER stablecoin on MBC Layer-2. This marks the first step in expanding the vision and use case of MBC. While this announcement has not yet been made public, we are sharing it first with MBC holders. This initiative is part of the broader MBC roadmap and signals the beginning of the issuance of a silver-backed stablecoin.

We are excited to introduce to the world the first silver-backed stablecoin, pegged 1:1 with silver, which was the first metal used as currency by humanity. Starting with implementation on MicroBitcoin’s Layer-2, we plan to eventually roll this out across all Layer-1 platforms, making it a genuine medium of exchange, payment method, and store of value, opening a new chapter in the history of cryptocurrencies.

Today, we are releasing the whitepaper along with the official website. This project is called BitSilver. You can download the wallet from https://wonpay.io. We have inspected the silver inventory and vaults of Daesung Metal Co., one of South Korea’s top three companies specializing in physical silver storage, and have signed a strategic partnership agreement for BitSilver. A press release will be distributed soon.

For your reference, Daesung Metal Co., Ltd. achieved sales of approximately $230 million in 2023 and focuses on the production of silver-related products. As stated in our whitepaper, they operate secure vaults with security provided by S1 (formerly Secom). The silver is stored in granule form, and global accounting firms conduct quarterly audits.

Following today’s foundation meeting, we have decided to exclude any exchanges currently blocked in South Korea from our listing plans. Accordingly, we will proceed only with exchanges that are not subject to restrictions.

From next week, we will begin full-scale operational work for exchange listings.
Our top priority will be forming a strategic partnership with an exchange that can accommodate the listing of MBC (our mainnet coin) as well as the tokens built on MBC Layer-2, including future token sales.

This decision reflects our responsibility to safeguard the assets of Korean users who hold MBC.

We would like to share the following updates regarding the MicroBitcoin (MBC) project:

1.Launch of a Meme Token
We are preparing to issue a meme token built on the MBC Layer-2 token infrastructure. This token will embody the original philosophical and economic values outlined in the Bitcoin whitepaper and will operate on MicroBitcoin, which we regard as Bitcoin 2.0. Upon its official launch, the token will be airdropped to all MBC holders. We anticipate that future projects launched on the MBC Layer-2 platform will also conduct similar airdrops.

2.Integration with Additional Mainnets via WONPAY
We are currently integrating multiple additional Layer-1 mainnets into the WONPAY wallet. Once completed, users will be able to swap assets freely between different mainnets and tokens within the wallet interface.

The WonPay wallet is currently being updated. The latest version is 1.0.6, and users who have not yet updated the app are strongly encouraged to do so as soon as possible.
This version includes several bug fixes. Moving forward, we will begin integrating other mainnets—starting with the Tron network—and activate P2P trading features.

2. Token Icon Display,
Currently, token symbols are shown using basic alphabetical characters. However, icon images will soon be added. This update is expected to go live within the next few days.

3. Satoshi Nakamoto Meme Token,
The Satoshi Nakamoto meme token, issued on our Layer-2 platform, will have its official website and whitepaper released within 10 days.
To commemorate the launch, an airdrop will be held for all MBC holders, distributed proportionally to each user’s MBC balance. If you wish to receive the airdrop, please make sure to hold your MBC until the distribution is complete.
