Firefox Relay, a Mozilla service, generates random email addresses for users to protect their private email addresses from advertisers and spammers.

Firefox Relay forwards emails from the random email address to the user's private email address, and if the user receives an email that is spam, the user can delete the random email address.

Now Firefox Relay extends to generating virtual phone numbers for users to avoid advertising calls or SMS. Many services today require the user to provide a phone number, such as requiring a cell phone to receive a verification code. If you are worried that your phone number will be shared with service providers and used for advertising calls, Firefox Relay's virtual phone number can hide your real phone number.

The phone hiding service is available for a fee and provides 50 minutes of calls and 75 text messages for $5 per month, while the email hiding service has both free and paid options.

Bombshell report claims Apple will allow third-party app stores in iOS 17

If the latest report from Bloomberg is to be believed, Apple is going to dramatically open up the iPhone in 2023. If even half of the changes reportedly being considered come to pass, it will have major implications for how we all use our iPhones (and presumably iPads) in the future.

There are other important changes being considered, too. Third-party web browsers currently have to use Apple’s WebKit rendering engine on iPhone and iPad (a restriction that does not exist on the Mac). The company is considering whether it will lift that restriction in iOS 17 to allow Chromium and other browser engines.

LightBulb is a free and open source Windows app that automatically adjusts the screen color temperature based on your geographic location (sunrise & sunset times) and manually set times to reduce eye strain while staring at a screen. #Windows #Tools

As the day goes on, it continuously adjusts gamma, transitioning the display color temperature from cold blue in the afternoon to warm yellow during the night.

Its primary objective is to match the color of the screen to the light sources of your surrounding environment — sunlight during the day and artificial light during the night.

LightBulb has minimal impact on performance and offers many customization options, as shown in the attached images.

Current support for Windows 7 and higher, better than win10 and win11 built-in color temperature adjustment function.
