The Song of Songs of Love
13th1 If I spoke with the tongues of men and angels and did not have love, I would be a ringing bronze or a ringing bell.
2 And if I could speak prophetically and knew all secrets and all knowledge and had all faith, so that I could move mountains, and had not love, then I would be nothing.
3 And if I gave all my possessions to the poor, and gave my body to boast, and if I did not have love, it would be of no use to me.
4 Love is long-suffering and kind, love does not jealous, love does not act willful, it does not inflate itself,
5 it does not behave improperly, it does not seek what is yours, it does not allow itself to be embittered, it does not attribute evil,
6 she does not rejoice in injustice, but rejoices in the truth;
7 she endures everything, she believes everything, she hopes everything, she tolerates everything.
8 Love never ceases when prophetic speaking will cease and speaking in tongues will cease and knowledge will cease.
9 For our knowledge is piecemeal and our prophetic speech is piecemeal.
10 But when the perfect comes, the partial will cease.
11 When I was a child, I spoke like a child, and thought like a child, and was wise as a child; but when I became a man I dismissed what was childlike.
12 We are now looking through a mirror in a dark picture; but then face to face. Now I know piece by piece; but then I will know just as I am known.
13 But now faith, hope, and love abide, these three
