MIT CLASS PRESIDENT SAYS: NO SCIENCE FOR GENOCIDE!!! ❤️🇵🇸 "Right now, while we prepare to graduate and move forward with our lives, there are no universities left in Gaza. We are watching Israel try to wipe Palestine off the face of the Earth, and it is a shame that MIT is a part of it. The Israeli Occupation Forces are the only foreign military that MIT has research ties with ... As scientists, engineers, academics, and leaders, we have a commitment to support life. Support aid efforts, call for an arms embargo, and keep demanding that MIT cuts the ties."

Universities like MIT virtue-signal supposed values -- and yet discipline its students for speaking out against the war crimes that the institute directly enables. What does it mean to protect international students when MIT won't acknowledge what they are fighting for? What does it mean to build a "better world" when Palestinians homes, families, and livelihoods are actively being ripped apart?

🚨 MIT BARS CLASS PRESIDENT FROM GRADUATION CEREMONY FOR PRO-PALESTINE SPEECH 🚨

Yesterday, MIT Class of 2025 President Megha Vemuri delivered a historic speech commemorating student action against Israel’s genocide of the Palestinian people, MIT’s research ties with the Israeli Ministry of Defense (IMoD), and MIT’s ongoing suppression of pro-Palestine activism.

Today, MIT administrators have barred Megha from attending her own graduation ceremony in retaliation.

See previous post for speech in the caption.

MIT is directly complicit in the genocide in Gaza. MIT laboratories do research projects paid for and chosen by the Israeli military. Taking money from an army committing genocide, whatever the research, is unacceptable.

Here's a look at some of the lab directors doing this heinous and unacceptable research. Make their evils known! Eytan Modiano, Christopher Voight, and Daniela Rus.

MIT CSAIL takes it a step further, partnering with Israeli Aerospace Industries and Lockheed Martin. MIT's Sloan School of Management thinks its acceptable to give their stamp of approval on Caterpillar's D9 bulldozers, which are destroying Gaza.

Instead of ethical science, MIT literally grooms students to do engineering for war crimes and genocide. Read and share our Research Primer, sign the anonymous SAGE pledge, and talk to a local organizer to join the MIT Coalition for Palestine and end MIT's aiding and abetting of genocide.

After Megha's commencement speech against genocide, Meta suspended our account without warning. This is a chilling act of 21st century censorship. We remain defiant and will not be intimidated. The truth must be known, and MIT's complicity must be resisted. Follow @mxt.sjp on Instagram and @mxt_sjp on Twitter/X for more updates.

If we want to honor the memory of the Irish who died in famine, it's time to stand in solidarity with those in Palestine enduring starvation and the ongoing Nakba. If they can do it in Ireland, we can do it in Boston. Make the call to the Massachusetts state house and back the bill H.2984 to divest Mass pension funds of Israel and its arms manufacturers: bit.ly/divestma. Contribute to mutual aid efforts: https://mutualaidgaza.org/ and support the community and students taking a stand against genocide. The whole world is watching, and millions will starve if we fail to act.

On May 29, we spoke with the Electronic Intifada along with BDS Boston about how we forced Elbit Systems out of the MIT Industrial Liaison Program. Find it on all major listening platforms.

"Despite their repression, their attacks on free speech, their shutting down of the opinion section of the newspaper, their suspension of students on the basis of their activism, we will continue, and we do not plan to stop. It's only looking worse and worse for the merchants of death, and we know we're on the right side of history."
