Money quote: "But Lee’s posthumous cameo in Captain Marvel raises questions of equal magnitude all on its own. The appearance gives the late comic book titan a role he has never before taken up in a Marvel Cinematic Universe movie, and it’s a perfect nod to the film’s ’90s setting."

Spettacolare articolo long form di giornalismo investigativo.

Money quote: “I decided to order something: L.A. Girl Matte Flat Velvet Lipstick (3 pcs) for $25.63. (I pretended not to see that the same item was listed at $10.74 by another reseller.) Amazon informed me that the lipstick would come in two weeks; there was no tracking information.”

Money quote: “Federal Aviation Administration managers pushed its engineers to delegate wide responsibility for assessing the safety of the 737 MAX to Boeing itself. But safety engineers familiar with the documents shared details that show the analysis included crucial flaws.”

Atari è tornata e vuole giocarsela ancora. Persino con una nuova console.

Money quote: “Atari is in better shape than it has been in the past because of the success of its Rollercoaster Tycoon simulation games, including Rollercoaster Tycoon Classic, launched in 2017. It had some good exposure for the Atari brand in the films Ready Player One and Blade Runner 2049”

Money quote: ““You have to run,” she told him. He thanked her. She kept going. “I am 89 years old and we need you. If you promise to run, I’ll promise to stay alive long enough to vote for you.”“

Money quote: "The answer to the question, "how are you going to pay for this project?" is turning out to be sponsorship more and more often. If you don't know why organizations want to sponsor things, though, it's likely a long, hard road to find the sponsorship you seek.

As the number of media options continue to explode (blogs, books, conferences, tattoos, speaking engagements, film festivals, stadiums, entire websites…) it's worth thinking a little bit about why organizations buy sponsorships."
