Tesla sta resistendo alla capacità distruttiva del suo proprietario, Elon Musk, e andando avanti per la sua strada. Ma la realtà è che gli ostacoli sono anche e soprattutto tecnologici, oltre che politici e normativi. Ad esempio, alla base del successo di Tesla c'è la scommessa su una tecnologia convenzionale per le batterie, destinata (nelle proiezioni di Musk) a diventare sempre più economica e competitiva nel tempo. Ma c'è anche chi lavora ad altro, come Toyota, che a quanto pare sta cogliendo i primi risultati.

È in testa alla classifica dei libri più letti nel Regno Unito. È uno stranissimo miscuglio di documenti inediti, riproduzione di fogli autografi, memorabilia e saggi profondissimi. A più di venti anni dalla sua scomparsa, Douglas Adams torna in questo libro che è un'opera d'amore. L'ho comprato su Kickstarter tre anni fa, quando è iniziata la campagna. È arrivato solo adesso, con mille problemi e tasse di importazione da pagare, due code alla posta (perché SDA ha solo fatto finta di consegnarlo e non ha neanche lasciato un avviso) consapevole che almeno in Italia viviamo sempre in quel pianeta "mostly harmless" che merita di essere spianato per far largo a un'autostrada stellare. Ah, per chi si chiedesse da dove viene il mio "mostly" (I write, ma anche weekly, e poi here), la spiegazione è proprio questa 42.
