La società invecchia e adesso emerge un'idea matta ma tutta da studiare: essere giovani non è la ricetta per il successo. Considerando i notevoli sforzi degli ultimi venti anni per affermare esattamente il contrario, direi che è uno sviluppo decisamente interessante.

Trovo che fare le recensioni di prodotti tecnologici (ma di qualunque prodotto in generale) sia una specie di missione suicida. Da un lato è estremamente soggettiva, anche quando viene coperta di numeri, statistiche e benchmark. Dall'altro è indubitabilmente problematica per l'effetto sui consumi e quindi sui guadagni che può portare. È un tipo di responsabilità commerciale che sempre più diventa difficile da gestire. The Verge ha provato a rendere esplicito il processo di valutazione, facendo secondo me ancora più danni.

In autunno arriveranno i nuovi telefoni di Apple. L'anno prossimo però ci potrebbe essere anche un'altra sorpresa: la quarta generazione di iPhone SE. Che potrebbe diventare un apparecchio low cost molto interessante: schermo più grande, niente pulsante home, Usb-C, fotocamera "tosta".

Facciamo un salto nel mondo degli orologi.

Tudor, il marchio fondato nel 1926 da Hans Wilsdorf dopo Rolex (che è del 1905), per anni è stato il "fratellino povero" del grande produttore di segnatempo da polso per le classi medie e affluenti. Adesso che Rolex è entrato nel segmento dei beni di super-lusso e diventa per molti potenziali clienti quasi impossibile da comprare (o ingiustificabile per il livello di prezzo di un orologio), ecco che Tudor cambia marcia e si fa avanti. Pronta a occupare il posto che fu di Rolex dagli anni Cinquanta a tutto gli anni Novanta.

Per riuscirci gli servono tre cose: il marketing giusto ovviamente, il livello di prezzi corretto e infine i prodotti fatti bene da mettere sul mercato. Ecco qua tutto quanto, spiegato bene.

Leica ha presentato la terza generazione dei "suoi" smartphone. Sì, suoi: hardware Android di terze parti ma sua ingegnerizzazione. E pare sia davvero buono, però lo vendono solo in Giappone.

Due considerazioni preliminari: utilizzare strumenti di collaborazione collaborativi in ambienti mix (sia che si stia tutti nello stesso posto sia che ci si trovi in uffici e case diverse) è un modo molto potente per potenziare e migliorare il flusso di lavoro. Ma, seconda considerazione, anche qui si sta assistendo alla solita guerra tra piattaforme. Solo che, grazie al cloud, ci sono piattaforme meno note e più interessante rispetto ai "soliti".

Quindi, la domanda: meglio Coda o meglio Notion per collaborare tutti assieme ai progetti?

Un contributo, uscito la settimana scorsa su Il Foglio, a mio avviso interessante di Ester Viola sulla pubblicità di Apple e sulla vera sfida rappresentata dai media che usiamo oggi: non un attentato alla creatività, ma alla capacità di rafforzare la memoria e la concentrazione.

La storia (fantastica) della serie di film *Kung Fu Panda* e del loro straordinario successo anche in Cina, dove hanno avuto un ruolo fondamentale per far decollare l'industria dell'animazione locale. Molto interessante davvero.

Me lo sono sempre chiesto: perché non abbiamo fatto denti che ricrescono con le cellule staminali, o vaccini per le carie, o sistemi per trasformare la bocca delle persone. Perché non abbiamo lavorato di più sui denti, che sono sì un mercato straordinariamente ricco per chi se ne occupa professionalmente (i dentisti) ma che costituiscono anche una delle cause di salute e sanità di chi li ha ben in ordine rispetto a chi no.

Il grande cambiamento nel settore della tecnologia dietro le quinte, cioè dei produttori di hardware, è questa grande novità, un profondo cambiamento di paradigma: siamo passati da un mondo in cui una archittettura veniva usata per tutto (x86, grazie a Microsoft e Linux) a uno in cui invece si fa un chip ad hoc per ogni esigenza.
