🇸🇪🦠 First monkeypox case outside of Africa was recorded in Sweden, one day after the WHO declared a global health emergency.

The patient discovered to be infected happened to have been in one of the affected areas in the Democratic Republic of Congo.

The Swedish public health agency said that the strain found in the infected patient is more deadly than the strain which affected thousands of homosexual men two years ago and it can spread from human to human without sexual contact.
