Although the different backlashes Google is facing from users regarding the decisions with their devices' resources, the research and development behind their new design is still ongoing. Namely, their last work is a revamped Widget page!
This section of the Pixel Launcher is now divided by a menu present below the screen separating the "featured" tab from the "browse" one. The first one contains suggestions of different available widgets, where the other contains all the accessible widgets to choose from.
While the suggested widgets were a simple element on the main page, now they get their own page, possibly with the main purpose by Google to promote their own gadgets. This is something you have probably already seen before; Chinese manufacturers like OPPO and similar use this approach on their software.
This is a small, yet interesting change by the design team which further gives a freshness vibe to the company's launcher, what do you think? Are there any other parts of the interface which require more attention by Google?

We're fully aware that many of you were eagerly waiting for some positive news regarding the upcoming Pixel 10a - Google's final device within the newest Pixel's lineup.
However, it is now pretty much safe to say that it will be absolutely boring and disappointing...
So far, the most significant "upgrades" (🤡) are as follows:
• Tensor G4 🥀
• Same exact storage chips found in the Google Pixel 9a (UFS 3.1) 🕊
• No telephoto 💔
• 2000 nits display (200 nits brighter) 😭
• No Magic Cue (at this point)🙏

It's fair to say that Google's Exynos-backed Tensor era is actually coming to an end – day by day.
With the Tensor G5 being the very first Google-made SOC produced by TSMC, the most well-known competitor to Samsung Foundries, it seems like Google is now preparing for another major shift.
We will be straight: Tensor G6 (codenamed: Malibu) is full of surprises, including a brand-new modem, currently undergoing early internal testing.
We're talking about the - latest and greatest - MediaTek M90, unveiled at the MWC2025.
This modem is significantly faster and more energy-efficient compared to the current Tensor G5's modem, the Exynos 5400(i), featuring top-of-the-class features and record-breaking network speeds, possibly putting an end to Google Pixel's notoriously bad battery life as early as next year.
