YouTube Deletes Videos From Brazilian President's Channel, Citing COVID-19 "Misinformation"

🇧🇷
@COVID19Up: YouTube on Wednesday removed videos from Brazil President Jair Bolsonaro's channel, citing its policy against spreading coronavirus misinformation.

YouTube said that it made the move without regard to the president’s politics, and said that “after careful review” it decided to take down some of the videos.

"Our rules do not allow content that states that hydroxychloroquine and/or ivermectin are effective in treating or preventing COVID-19, that states there is a cure for the disease, or says that masks do not work to prevent the spread of the virus," it said in a statement.

#TakeBackOurTech: Installing Applications On Linux From Decentralized Sources
Telegram Channel | Telegram Chat | Private Community | Odysee | Hive | Minds

Read the article.
Watch on Odysee.
Find more applications.

This morning we saw centralized software infrastructure get taken down (Akamai CDN), taking down large portions of the internet with it.

Its never been more obvious that we need to #TakeBackOurTech, and install free & open source applications locally on our machines, without external dependencies to services that may go down.

In today's article/video #TakeBackOurTech will show you how to install apps in three different decentralized formats, that enable Linux users and developers to share tens of thousands of Linux apps directly with each other.

We've also released another article with more resources on where to find applications!

Also for those who were looking forward to the Feature Tours for our three distributions, we have postponed that series to next week.

Introducing App Manager Community

Certain features offered by App Manager could be very useful if the experienced users shared their configurations and tips which would allow a new user or a complete newbie to get started quickly. Currently, this is very limited because we do not have any dedicated forum nor any central repository where the information may be readily available. We do have a documentations site, but it is understandable that many users do not actually read them. So, we concluded that involving users is the best approach to solve these problems. In future, we may also add the option to interact with the repositories in App Manager so that users can access these configurations directly in the app.

Currently, the repositories are hosted at GitHub: https://github.com/AMCommunity. However, we've planned to extend this to GitLab and Codeberg in the future.

The repositories
Currently, there are three repositories:
- Exported Rules: App specific rules exported using App Manager's export function
- Profiles: Exported profiles from App Manager
- Tips & Tricks: Tips and tricks on App Manager

How to contribute
Contributing instructions are available in the readme file of each repository.

Additionally, if you are interested in becoming a member of the community, you can add a comment here.

The next 24 hours are going to be unlike anything you've ever witnessed and we're going to capture it all on @COVID19Up.

There are over 300 anti-lockdown protests planned across the planet today. It is also World Ivermectin Day. July 24 will go down in history as one of the biggest protest days the world has ever seen.

And of course, the corporate media will ignore it. Big Tech will censor it. That's why you're on Telegram.

If you find value in what @COVID19Up, @COVID1984chat & @IvermectinChat provide and would like to support our work, please consider tipping our team. Last time we asked, not a single person donated. This is hard work.

Stay tuned! France is about to shock the world...

Always [Re]Search Before Making a Post to Ask Questions
Original Post on the Blockchain

~~~
So, this is something that most of us who grew up on the internet got to learn very early on... but it seems obvious that the average person is more likely to pop into a chat group or forum, and not even scroll up one or two posts, before they start asking questions.
This particular video came prompted by spending a few days browsing the official Telegram group for #Splinterlands (which has gained almost 400 members since I recorded this video yesterday.)
If you pop into that group and take a look at the chat for a while, you'll notice that almost everyone who joins just immediately asks a questions, sometimes literally just a comment or two after the last time that question was asked & answered...
And really, it's mostly the same 3 questions being asked again & again.
I felt a bit annoyed for Grapthar, whose job it is to answer questions in that chat group, and was inspired to make this video :-)
Little hint: the magnifying glass 🔍 button on a forum, chat, etc. to search for your search terms.
You can also use tools like Presearch, DuckDuckGo, and others, to search within any website for the terms you're looking for...
"In May, biotech firm Ginkgo Bioworks announced it was going public with a valuation of $15 billion. Ginkgo is a rising star in the biotechnology field, describing themselves as “The Organism Company”. While their name is less known than other biotech giants such as Monsanto and Bayer, the scope of their research and projects will likely affect billions of people around the world in coming years."
#TakeBackOurTech: Pop!_OS Feature Tour Releases Today
Telegram Channel | Telegram Chat | Private Community | Odysee | Hive | Minds
Our feature tour for Pop!OS releases later today! It will include a beginners walkthrough, a settings guide, and a feature tour. Who's on team POP!_OS?
Pop!_OS stands out for its minimalism and ease of use, getting out of the way so you can work. Some might consider the lack of customization a weakness, but I consider it a strength. Less time spent configuring your system, more time doing things. If you agree with this sentiment, this may be the one for you.
Are you using Pop!OS already and want to show off?
