Our group has been working on a reasonably private means of communication between us for more than half a year now, and after working with friends & clients alike across different devices, countries, and apps - we've got a solution that'll work for us all.
Later this week I'll be speaking at a few stops on the Activation Tour to spread this idea further, to encourage others to build their own websites, content publications, and run their own software service. This will then be formalized and produced into content for #TakeBackOurTech, of course.

Part of this better world is the technologists, who will build the content efforts, organizational sites, and systems needed for the free world to communicate!
After the talk, I got to talk to several bright individuals that were ready to answer the call. It is humbling and inspiring to see this, and it drives me to share as much knowledge as I can this year.
Let's all run our own websites. Our own software services. Communicate securely and privately. Let's change the world.

This Biden Proposal Could Make the US a “Digital Dictatorship”
A “new” proposal by the Biden administration to create a health-focused federal agency modeled after DARPA is not what it appears to be. Promoted as a way to “end cancer,” this resuscitated “health DARPA” conceals a dangerous agenda.
Far from “ending cancer” in the way most Americans might envision it, the proposed agency would merge “national security” with “health security” in such as way as to use both physical and mental health “warning signs” to prevent outbreaks of disease or violence before they occur. Such a system is a recipe for a technocratic “pre-crime” organization with the potential to criminalize both mental and physical illness as well as “wrongthink.”...
ARPA-H will likely heavily fund and promote mRNA vaccines as one of the “breakthroughs” that will cure cancer. Some of the mRNA vaccine manufacturers that have produced some of the most widely used COVID-19 vaccines, such as the Pfizer/BioNTech vaccine, stated just last month that “cancer is the next problem to tackle with mRNA tech” post-COVID. BioNTech has been developing mRNA gene therapies for cancer for years and is collaborating with the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation to create mRNA-based treatments for tuberculosis and HIV...
As first proposed by Wright in 2019, the flagship program of HARPA would be SAFE HOME, short for Stopping Aberrant Fatal Events by Helping Overcome Mental Extremes. SAFE HOME would suck up masses of private data from “Apple Watches, Fitbits, Amazon Echo, and Google Home” and other consumer electronic devices, as well as information from health-care providers to determine if an individual might be likely to commit a crime. The data would be analyzed by artificial intelligence (AI) algorithms “for early diagnosis of neuropsychiatric violence.”

If you have seen my recent interview with Ramiro Romani then you know that I have recently purchased the "Above Phone" from Above Agency. This is a degoogled phone loaded with open source, decentralized app alternatives to the google, apple, microsoft versions most of us are accustomed to.
The best part of using this phone - besides greatly reducing my digital footprint and data leaking - is that Miriam and I are doing this entire tour of the United States without using google maps!
In the coming weeks I will be releasing a review of 3 privacy phones - the Above Phone, the Clear Phone, and the Purism Librem 5. I coincidentally ended up with 3 privacy phones at once so I am going to review them, choose the one I like the most and give away the other 2 to volunteers and attendees of The Activation Tour.

ProtonMail Revises Their Lies

Encrypted email service ProtonMail has become embroiled in a minor scandal after responding to a legal request to hand over a user's IP address and details of the devices he used to access his mailbox to Swiss police – resulting in the user's arrest.
The police also noticed that the collective communicated via a ProtonMail email address. They therefore sent a requisition (via EUROPOL) to the Swiss company managing the messaging system in order to find out the identity of the creator of the address. ProtonMail responded to this request by providing the IP address and the fingerprint of the browser used by the collective. It is therefore imperative to go through the tor network (or at least a VPN) when using a ProtonMail mailbox (or another secure mailbox) if you want to guarantee sufficient security.
Back in January this year, the company's homepage stated: "No personal information is required to create your secure email account. By default, we do not keep any IP logs which can be linked to your anonymous email account. Your privacy comes first."
Today that boast has been replaced with a mealy-mouthed version: "ProtonMail is email that respects privacy and puts people (not advertisers) first. Your data belongs to you, and our encryption ensures that. We also provide an anonymous email gateway."
