Friends,

It really has been a wonderful experience to be on the road the last 3 weeks. We are meeting so many powerful people who are focused on solutions for themselves and their families. These talks and connections are fueling me up to continue the fight long into the future.

I know many people feel discouraged or doubtful about what we are facing. Without a doubt we are facing monumental obstacles, but we are also fully capable of making it through. I know we can continue to survive and thrive. I know it. I have seen it.

However, it's going to take time, effort, money, and pushing past your discomfort or fears. We have to step up to the plate right now. This IS our moment to shine. Either we step up and protect the coming generations and honor the work our ancestors did to get us here - or, we fail and allow the Predator Class to take control of the future of humanity.

I refuse to accept this and I hope you do as well.

What we need now, more than ever, is to make a personal commitment to our selves, our family, our Creator, and make sure we do everything and anything we need to do to stop the Technocracy from swallowing us all whole. Personally, I do not believe we can stop it, but I know we can survive and thrive OUTSIDE of their systems.

Together we are laying the foundation for the next stage of humanity. It won't be easy, but it is our task. Let's build something beautiful!

This thought popped into my head today after the FUD (fear, uncertainty, doubt) that arises naturally after thinking of a new idea.

I'm sure I'm not alone in this. The feeling of starting your own farm, community, changing up your technologies, or cleaning up your room (my personal favorite).

Worrying about your plans is more difficult than sitting there and making them happen. So don't worry. Make it happen.

EDIT: You don't need a phone number or email to join a homeserver, but you need to verify email if you are joining matrix.org's homeserver, although my past experience with matrix was that you had to supply an email when joining a homeserver, that has changed.

- Implemented currently in the identity server and protocol, when logging onto a Matrix homeserver, you can submit a third party identifier (either your email address or phone number) to Matrix's Identity Server. This privately links your Matrix ID, third party identifier, and Room ID that you're joining together. The possibility exists for Matrix to hang onto this data and create an association graph of the communities you are a part of. Of course, in the privacy policy linked above this behavior is being phased out, but hasn't yet. It also uses the phrasing 'registration will not publicly link your email address or phone number with your Matrix ID'. What about privately?

- Matrix isn't truly decentralized. If changes are made to the protocol, then homeservers will need to update, or they could lose the ability to federate with the main matrix homeserver population that are on the newest update. This means that a malicious update to the servers will put homeservers in a tough situation. They would be flagged by the identity server and new members would not be able to join.

- Let's not forget all the original developers of Matrix all worked at AMDOCS, the world's largest billing service for telecom. Their clients include the top 25 phone companies and handles 90% of the transactional call data on US communications. They were even investigated by the NSA. In other words - they have everyone's phone numbers. Does the possibility exist for Matrix to cross reference phone numbers of users to this existing bank of call data? It would be easy for them and the connection is there.

yes, a solution is needed. If a decision is being made for a community, then it needs to be the right choice the first time - I don't think people should rush into a solution simply because it exists without acknowledging the red flags (which haven't been addressed by anyone - the argument is always, well look at Telegram!). Once hundreds of people are migrated, it is incredibly hard to migrate again.

BTW I have used Matrix personally and for small teams - I was devastated after writing that article, Matrix on the surface was pretty awesome.

However I won't risk other people's data if i don't fully know the details of what is happening.

Long story short, we need a solution and I've decided we need to champion XMPP. More formal information to come.

Born in 1874, Italian inventor Guglielmo Marconi invented wireless communication technology. He became interested in radio waves as a young man and experimented with electromagnetic waves hoping to send information without wires. In 1899, he made the first wireless transmission across the English Channel. The use of wireless communication became known as radio. The technology freed people from the monopoly on wired telegraphy owned by large corporations and allowed anyone to communicate wirelessly [1].

In the 1980s, the Internet was born. It was a project developed by the US military in collaboration with Universities. It relied almost exclusively on landline communication, controlled by the Military-Industrial Complex [2]. Through the 1990s, both NSA and the GCHQ doggedly fought Public Key Cryptography which posed a threat over their control of information. The Clinton administration came up with the idea of the so-called ‘Clipper Chip’, a small device in every computer that the Government could directly access to bypass any encryption used by the owner. However, it was soon shown that this device was easily disabled [3]. The Establishment, in their search for control over the population, came up with an even better idea: connect every device to the Internet, thereby being able to read and see all messages sent even if encrypted. What good is encryption of a message if the Government can see a live feed of what is being shown on your screen? All information is visible to the Government unless proven impossible for them to reach [4].

Inspired by Marconi’s intentions of decentralisation, Beechat was developed. Beechat is not software nor hardware. Beechat is a defense against the Military-Industrial Complex that allows users to communicate in an Internet-disconnected manner. Beechat contains two main communication functions: the first one is the encrypted peer-to-peer chat, whereby only the intended recipient can decrypt the message. The second function is the public broadcasting function, which allows any node to broadcast a message to the entire network giving unbannable freedom of speech. The only way for Beechat to survive is for the software and hardware to outlive the group that founded it through the necessity of the community behind it. Beechat is a technology that decentralises the use of communications and gives the power of privacy back to the general population.
