The worst thing is that they try to generalize their findings as some fundamental rules/properties of how LLMs work.
I’m pretty sure that most of weird behavior we see in LLMs are caused by
1) using byte-pair encoding for text inputs
2) using cheapest African and Indian workers to label the data
