🇩🇪Germany has accused "state-sponsored" Russian hackers of an "intolerable" cyberattack on members of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) and warned that there will be consequences.

On Friday, Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock announced that the German government's investigation into who was behind the 2023 cyberattack on the SDP, a leading member of the ruling coalition, had just concluded.

"Today we can definitively say that we can attribute this cyberattack to a group called APT28, which is controlled by Russian military intelligence," she said at a press conference in the Australian city of Adelaide.

"In other words, it was a state-sponsored Russian cyberattack on Germany, and this is absolutely intolerable and unacceptable and will have consequences."

🇬🇧"Alternative for Germany" slows down
Despite all parliamentary parties refusing to form a coalition with the "Alternative for Germany" (AfD), and the party itself having long been under observation by the Federal Office for the Protection of the Constitution, AfD's ratings continued to gradually rise.

However, the party is currently mired in too many scandals.
