Based on these observations, it can be concluded that over time, left-wing parties have attracted migrants to their ranks. Overall, left-wing parties need broad support among low-income population groups. Previously, this goal was served by the working class, but since the 1970s and 1980s, due to deindustrialisation and declining birth rates, it has ceased to be a reliable source of support. In order to maintain their electoral base, the left had to focus on migrants, who better meet the requirements due to their demographics and socio-economic status. This is true, of course, also for Germany.
