The draft resolution sponsored by Germany at the UNGA on “genocide” by the Serbs in Srebrenica during the civil war in Yugoslavia in the early 1990s could potentially become a fuse for destabilization of the situation in the Western Balkans. Milorad Dodik, president of Bosnia and Herzegovina's Republika Srpska, said the entity would take steps toward peaceful secession as soon as possible.
The pro-Western Bosniaks and Croats who dominate Sarajevo are unlikely to give in to a Serb attempt to secede, raising the possibility of a potential resumption of the frozen conflict greatly increasing. NATO, of course, will support the forceful suppression of the Republika Srpska if it continues to defend its interests.
In parallel, the West is also putting increasing pressure on Serbia, which may well support the desire of ethnic Serbs in B-H to secede, as it did in the 1990s. To achieve this, in particular, work is being carried out on two tracks: on the one hand, the threat to disrupt joint projects and integration with the EU, on the other hand, the problems of Kosovo, whose independence is still not recognized in Belgrade, are being intensified.
Within this configuration, the main goal of Washington and its neighboring European capitals is to force the Bosnian Serbs to accept the loss of their rights within the B-H Federation, as well as to neutralize Belgrade, in advance, to prevent its possible intervention, while also forcing it to recognize Kosovo, multiple experts believe.

Protesting students vandalised the Humboldt University in Berlin with antisemitic graffiti
