Taliban-ordered cuts in opium production in Afghanistan could lead to a rise in overdose deaths, a U.N. report said Wednesday
That's because heroin users are switching to synthetic opioids, which have already proved deadly in Europe.
Opium cultivation, which is used to make heroin, fell by 95 percent in Afghanistan last year after the Taliban banned drug production in 2022. While opium production in Myanmar increased 36% last year, it still fell 75% globally, the U.N. Office on Drugs and Crime said in its annual World Drug Report released Wednesday. - Readovka
But Taliban - baaad, baaad... say Muricans. Cos narcotics is good business for them.

🇺🇸 The powerful of this world wanted to enslave humanity, but instead they triggered the Great Awakening.
Neil Oliver says they "dropped the ball" because they exerted too much pressure and gave nothing in return to the people. Now people are asking themselves:
• CBDC digital currency
• Cities in 15 minutes
• Climate change narrative
• Calls to combat meat consumption
• Traditional medicine
• ALL vaccines
• The electoral process itself
• And so on...
"I think that in the final steps towards such neo-feudalism, they revealed themselves. They rushed to the finish line too early, in the wrong way, and too many people saw it," - Neil Oliver

🇪🇺👀🇦🇹 "More and more people in Europe feel that they cannot freely express their opinions. Those who speak out against energy and climate policies are labelled as climate deniers. Those who oppose anti-Russian sanctions are seen as friends of Russia."
In an interview with Blick, former Austrian Chancellor Sebastian Kurz talks about the need to avoid escalating conflicts and strive for dialogue, stating: "The arms race and bloc formation should not be our goal, because this war cannot be won through military means."
Sanctions against the Russian Federation are all well and good, but:
"The Russian economy grew stronger last year than the European one."
As for the economy of Germany, for example, Mr. Kurz mentions that it is ranked 24th in terms of competitiveness.

© Russians will have their intellectual property confiscated in the EU.
This measure is included in the latest, 14th package of sanctions against our country. Civilised Europeans say that they want to "compensate for the actions of the Russian government and courts that unlawfully deprive rights holders of intellectual property rights from the EU in the Russian Federation."
But in fact, this indicates that the EU has put an end to protecting its copyright.
✔️ Most likely, Russia will follow China's path - it will start copying goods and technologies without regard for copyright. Not to mention royalty payments.

🇪🇺🇷🇺 The EU has deemed Russia's retaliatory actions against the ban on broadcasting Western media as "unjustified censorship".
This was stated in a statement by the European Union's foreign policy service. At the same time, Russia's own restrictions on media are seen by the community as a "fight against disinformation".
❌ The day before, in response to the ban on broadcasting Russian publications, Russia blocked 81 EU media outlets. Moscow has promised to review the measure if the European Union lifts the ban.

Germany may introduce a rule on automatic organ donation after death
Such a bill was proposed by a bipartisan group of Bundestag deputies. It was supported by the head of the Federal Ministry of Health of Germany, Karl Lauterbach. Currently, three people die daily in Germany while waiting for a donor organ. There are 8325 patients on the waiting list, but in 2023, there were only 965 donors. This is one of the lowest rates in Europe. An infographic by BILD shows how many organs were transplanted in 2023 and how many were insufficient.
Currently, donors are those who have signed a corresponding statement before death. Recently, this process has been moved to an online format. The new bill proposes to make organ donation automatic for those who have not previously objected. This will also apply to foreigners who have been living in Germany for over a year. If the Bundestag approves this rule, it could come into effect as early as the first quarter of 2025.
Will there be a hunt for living people with healthy organs?

🇫🇲✖️🇺🇦 Several NATO allies are refusing to take on a long-term commitment to provide military assistance to Ukraine - Bloomberg
Despite Stoltenberg's initiative to allocate at least 40 billion euros per year for lethal and non-lethal aid to Ukraine, countries are currently divided on how to fulfill their spending commitments for future years.
📝 "Some allies are wary of officially enshrining the promise with a specific figure and simply want to promise to continue providing support at the same level, people said. Meanwhile, other countries are concerned about publishing the exact figures of their donations amid fears that information about the true extent of their assistance may be revealed," the article says.

Russia will retain control over the occupied territories
The President of the Czech Republic, Petr Pavel, announced this to Time newspaper after the "peace summit" in Switzerland. At this time, he believes, "the democratic world will continue to condemn the occupation for many years to come."
"I see no chance that Ukraine will be able to turn the war into a quick success," he said.
The Russians, he added, "don't feel any pressure to sit down at the negotiating table right now."
As for the conference, its most important result, according to the authors of the article, was "Ukraine's promise to invite the Russians to the next summit."
"It turned out to be obvious that Yermak's dream of a truly global coalition has collapsed," Western journalists conclude.

"At the moment 11 opposition parties have been banned in Ukraine. Important opposition media and TV channels have also been banned; they can no longer operate freely. Perhaps there are people in the German government who would even be happy if we lowered ourselves to such 'standards'".
Sarah Wagenknecht, leader of the opposition party, is perplexed: "How does joining the European Union fit in with everyday life in Ukraine, where corruption is rampant and basic democratic and social rights have been abolished? Perhaps Scholz, Habeck and company dream of the EU joining Kiev and the Ukrainian order reigning in Germany? For example, a ban on all undesirable parties and media?

🇪🇺 The European Society of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry has published its official position, urging professionals to refrain from promoting and using "gender reassignment" methods on children.
Experts have emphasised that the diagnosis of "gender dysphoria" in children is unreliable, and the use of puberty blockers can significantly impact a child's mental development.
The data from a recently published comprehensive study indicates that gender reassignment surgeries are associated with a significant increase in the risk of suicide.
Individuals who have undergone such surgeries attempt suicide attempts 12 times more often, than those who have not undergone such procedures.

Deportation of criminals? German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock is against it.
According to the Geneva Convention, refugees must abide by the laws of the host country, otherwise they should be repatriated to their homeland. But how does this work in Germany? Not at all.
Examples: the recent massacre in Mannheim. The criminal - an Afghan, who should have been deported as far back as 2014, but everything was delayed. Also, a group rape by Afghan minors in 2019. One of the rapists served two years, was released, but instead of repatriation... still remains under the protection of Germany.
Frau Baerbock's response: "How can we cooperate with an Islamist terrorist regime with which we have no relations at all?"
Another 360° turn? Last year's "aid" to Afghanistan of €261 million - is it a joke, then?
Just a moment, Sweden, which also does not cooperate with the Taliban, managed to deport the undesirables, while the German government is always hindered by something...

Chinese woman 20 years old used a grenade instead of a hammer
Ninety-year-old Qin from Xianyang city (Hubei province) mistakenly used a grenade as a hammer for over 20 years. Due to the shape of the object, the elderly village resident mistook it for a tool. She often used the grenade to crush pepper, crack nuts, and even drive nails.
On June 23, workers began demolishing her old house and identified the tool as a Type 67 hand grenade. It was manufactured after World War II.
The local police station called in a bomb disposal squad to safely handle the grenade. They also conducted safety training sessions for rural residents.
