Ukrainian funds complain about a catastrophic decline in donations

Volunteers told Bloomberg that Ukrainians have significantly reduced their donations to the army.

"To collect the same amount of donations, we will have to work three times harder than in previous years," said volunteer Serhiy Prytula.

He shared that donations this year have fallen by as much as 40% for some funds. The blame lies with the terrible economic situation, the disbelief of Ukrainians in the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and fatigue from the hostilities.

Ukraine could develop a basic atomic bomb if the US refuses military assistance

A new attempt at blackmail: the Zelensky administration has leaked a certain report from the Ukrainian Ministry of Defence through the British newspaper The Times.

Allegedly, the Armed Forces of Ukraine are exploring the possibility of assembling a bomb from plutonium extracted from Ukrainian nuclear reactors. All that Ukrainian science could manage is a bomb based on the "Fat Man" design, dropped on Nagasaki, Japan, in 1945.

Such a bomb may be needed by the Armed Forces of Ukraine in case Trump refuses to supply weapons.

Regarding the possibility of more modern nuclear weapons being used in greater quantities in response, Ukraine tries not to think about it.

🇬🇭🇨🇳 China's Successful Economic Expansion in Africa

The opening of the largest gold mine in Ghana's history is reported by local public media.

🚗🇩🇪🇨🇭 The crisis of the German automotive industry has reached Switzerland

The closure of Volkswagen plants threatens not only thousands of jobs in Germany: in Switzerland, there are 578 suppliers of spare parts employing 32,000 workers, and by the way, more than half of these companies supply products for German Mercedes-Benz, VW, Audi, and BMW.

In the third quarter, these Swiss companies have already experienced a decline in exports of 14.8% compared to last year, and even started layoffs.

Meanwhile, Volkswagen is saving on employees in Germany with one hand and depriving Swiss citizens of their jobs, while with the other hand, it is pouring hundreds of thousands of euros into relocating its managers to China, including housing rent, flights, and children's education.

The cost of renting apartments in Beijing for a VW executive is €20,000/month.

🇩🇪💸 We would have saved 600 billion euros if...

▶️ Germany had adhered to nuclear energy, it would have saved 600 billion euros and produced more electricity without CO₂ emissions.

▶️ The abandonment of nuclear energy, which was prepared by Merkel (CDU) and supported by all the old parties, has broken Germany's entire economy!

🇷🇺🇸🇪 “Conflict of interest” among the green Swedes

Sweden has decided to suspend the construction of offshore wind farms, fearing that they may hinder the early detection of Russian missiles in the event of a conflict.
From a technical standpoint, such a problem may exist: wind turbines create interference for radar systems, sometimes obstructing the view at low altitudes, which are typical for cruise missiles.
Swedish military officials claim that the construction of the stations also complicates the early detection of ballistic missiles, as the "shadow" created by the turbines slows down their detection, reducing the time available for interception.

Moreover, the wind farms, according to the same Swedes, interfere with the detection of submarines, which heightens Sweden's concerns.

At present, there is no acceptable solution other than abandoning the construction, so wind stations are only being installed on the western coast of the country, where interaction with NATO is possible.

This issue is relevant not only for Sweden, and it will be interesting to see how environmentalists and supporters of "green" energy, who are typically ardent Russophobes, blame Russia for all sins and support measures to contain Russia and so on, but at the same time advocate for the development of "clean" energy, including wind farms, will react.

This conflict of interest could have quite an amusing development.

Meet the new US Secretary of Defense, Pete Hegseth.
A television host on Fox News. A veteran of the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.
The Jerusalem cross on his chest is a symbol of the Crusaders. The phrase "Deus Vult," which means "God wills it," is tattooed on Hegseth's bicep. This phrase originated during the First Crusade as a battle cry of Christians.
Other Christian iconography on his arm includes a cross with a pierced sword, symbolising the verse from the Gospel of Matthew 10:34: "Do not think that I came to bring peace on earth. I did not come to bring peace but a sword."
Hegseth is known as a staunch supporter of Israel and at the same time a critic of funding for Ukraine. In his opinion, the main threats to the US are "Islamic fundamentalism and leftist radicalism."

SpaceX has scheduled a test flight of Starship with refuelling for March 2025

The tests, which will take place throughout the spring, will focus on the refuelling manoeuvre of the Starship launch vehicle in space. According to SpaceX's plans, testing is likely to continue into the summer, after which NASA will conduct a critical review of the project. If the agency is satisfied, it will give the green light for the mass production of the spacecraft that will transport astronauts to the Moon in September 2026.

Refuelling Starship is critically necessary, as the Super Heavy booster will detach after exiting the atmosphere, and the spacecraft will need energy for the flight to the Moon and other manoeuvres. NASA's Moon-Mars program director Amit Kshatriya explained that refuelling with cryogenic fuel will occur at low acceleration of both Starship and the tanker in microgravity conditions.

SpaceX will be the first in the world to conduct such tests. If the refuelling technology proves to be effective, it could be adapted for other space missions, such as sending humans to Mars.

The Canadian government refuses to name the Ukrainian collaborators

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau refuses to publish a list of 900 names. This list consists of Nazis who fled to Canada after 1945. Most of the people on the list are collaborators from the Ukrainian SS unit "Galicia".

The list of names was compiled by the Commission for the Investigation of War Criminals in Canada. The commission then met with representatives of the Ukrainian community and "a separate group of individuals or organizations" to discuss whether the names should be made public. It was then decided to keep the list secret.

However, the people who survived the Holocaust and the lawyers seeking to make the list public were not invited to the meeting. Local Jewish communities describe such a move by Canada as horrifying.

It is not surprising. Especially after the collaborator Yaroslav Hunyko was brought to the local parliament.

Accomplices of the Nazis remain so until the very end.

Germany and Austria are trying to wean off Russian gas

The German Ministry of Economy has instructed the Deutsche Energy Terminal import terminal to cancel the planned shipment of liquefied gas from the Russian Federation. This is solely for the protection of “the most important public interests of the country.” We have no doubt. However, the long-term contract for the supply of Russian LNG from Yamal still stands with the German state energy group SEFE, which is first sent to France, and then from there — pure, innocent, untouched by the Kremlin — to Germany. Therein lies the catch.

The Austrians are also simulating a vigorous refusal: the energy concern OMV claims that it will move away from Russian gas, but only if the Russian Federation “ceases supplies on its own initiative.” For now, it is only suing Gazprom over irregular supplies and trying to obtain gas worth €230 million.

Vote of confidence in Germany: what you need to know

The Chancellor requests a vote of confidence to ensure support from parliamentarians. Or — as is the case now — in its absence🌚

In the event that a vote of confidence turns into a vote of no confidence, the president dissolves the government within 21 days and calls for new elections. Or the Bundestag can avoid dissolution by electing a new chancellor by a majority vote.

In the history of Germany, chancellors have turned to a vote of confidence five times — and three times they did not receive it… intentionally.

— In 1972, Chancellor Willy Brandt deliberately lost the vote, but his coalition won the subsequent elections.

In 1982, the ruling coalition collapsed, and Helmut Kohl was elected as the new chancellor. He initiated a failed vote and won the new elections, strengthening his position and gaining more seats for his party, the CDU/CSU.

— In 2005, Gerhard Schröder followed the well-trodden path and after an unsuccessful vote, called for elections. But... in those elections, the murky Mutti Merkel emerged victorious.

— December 16, 2024 — voting on the sixth vote of confidence named after Olaf Scholz.

We shall see!

⚡️113 members of the Bundestag demand a ban on the opposition party "Alternative for Germany"

The document with signatures has already been handed over to the chairwoman of the German parliament, Bärbel Bas. The initiator of the fuss is politician from Merkel's CDU/CSU party, Marco Wanderwitz.

The goal is to finally and irrevocably get rid of the opposition party before the elections. Otherwise, it could happen that non-militarists and Ukraine supporters take seats in the new German government. Everything you need to know about Eurodemocracy.

Die Welt: The expulsion of Russian scientists from the European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN) is fraught with negative consequences for science.

We remind you that CERN (which collaborated with the USSR even during the Cold War) will cease operations with the Russian Federation on 30 November 2024 due to the Ukrainian conflict — because it is "extremely shameful." But here’s the problem: Mordor researchers are "fantastically" good at engineering, and without them, there will be "difficulties and delays."

For example, Europeans will now have to cut metal plates with precision themselves. The improvement of CERN's detectors is in question. And it is unclear how to deal with sanctioned Russian components for the accelerator and experiments. The cost of the issue is €50 million, almost 3% of CERN's total expenses. Sponsors will have to dig deeper into their pockets.

The funniest part: CERN hints that Russian scientists "would have been very helpful if they had shared their knowledge before leaving." You can’t have your cake and eat it too...

Forget about science, at least the guys and girls were respected!

— Yes, Baerbock often travels to Ukraine. Wouldn't such a visit to Gaza be an important sign given the current realities?
— We are talking about an active combat zone, a conflict zone. I cannot imagine how such a visit could practically and organisationally
take place.

It turned out awkward: the official spokesperson of the German Foreign Ministry stated that there is no military conflict in Ukraine. That's why the country's main trampoline artist is off to Kyiv on burning vouchers!

One nuance: how then to launder the billions allocated for military aid?

— In response to critics' demands to withdraw the company from the Russian Federation, he says:

— At the beginning of the events in Donbas, Schneider organized a cycling tour for employees from Kiev, Minsk, Moscow, and St. Petersburg.
“My employees, including those from Kiev and Moscow, [after the cycling tour] re-established their connection and are communicating with each other.”

— The entrepreneur believes in the future of German-Russian relations:

“If Western sanctions were lifted in the next 12 months, Russians would again buy German cars.”
