In Germany, trains are experiencing serious disruptions due to a large-scale freight transport project that will close traffic in the Lower Rhine region for 80 weeks.
From 1 November, the line from Oberhausen to the Netherlands will be closed for 18 months. This is part of a long-term project to modernise a key corridor for freight trains, which is being implemented in partnership with the Netherlands, Switzerland, and Italy.
