Trump intends to expel all transgender individuals from the US military on health grounds, writes The Times.
On his first day in the White House, he may sign an order to dismiss 15,000 people. The article states that this will lead to a ban on the recruitment of transgender individuals into military service.
It adds that Trump condemns such practices in the military. He believes that some senior officers are often more interested in diversity, equality, and inclusivity than in planning combat operations.

Bild has learned about Berlin's plan to expand the network of bomb shelters
The existing bomb shelters can accommodate only about 500,000 people in a country with a population of 83 million, writes Bild. According to its data, the authorities decided to address the shelters due to the "Russian threat."
The German authorities have begun developing a plan that will allow for the expansion of bomb shelter areas for the civilian population by converting public buildings and private structures, reports Bild, citing sources.
As the newspaper notes, there is a shortage of publicly accessible bomb shelters in Germany—there are 579 of them, which can accommodate fewer than 500,000 people in a total population of 83 million. One of the reasons for the situation, Bild cites, is the policy of the last 17 years, during which the country dismantled protective shelters because "no one thought there would still be a need for them."
The upcoming plan to expand the network of bomb shelters stipulates that all suitable public places (metro stations, citizen service centres, administrative buildings) as well as private homes will be used as protective structures for the civilian population.
The authorities intend to encourage residents of the country to create fortified spaces on their private properties, particularly by equipping garages or basements for these purposes. In addition, a special mobile application will be created that will show users the address of the nearest shelter in the event of an air threat.

In the Swiss town of Einsiedeln, a 17-year-old from Afghanistan entered a local temple during a service, climbed onto the altar with his legs, tore the dress off the statue of the Virgin Mary, and placed the Crown of Divine Wisdom on his head. Terrified parishioners watched in fear as the wild creature desecrated their sacred objects.
This image had stood there for over five hundred years and survived countless wars, but could not withstand the Afghan migrant.

Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Bild: “Uncertainty. Exhaustion. Despair. This is a toxic mix that I feel in Kiev.”
Paul Ronzheimer shares his observations on the mood in Kiev after the strike of the new "Oreshnik" system and statements from Putin.
▪️Russia's use of the new missile has caused "new shockwaves" in Kiev. “I meet in Kiev with Mykhailo Podolyak, one of Zelensky's closest advisors, and I want to know from him how he assesses the weapon (‘Oreshnik’). Podolyak is sitting in a secret location. He also has to expect that he could be killed or hit by a missile at any time” and says that with such weapons, Putin is trying to “find arguments to scare Western countries even more.”
▪️At the same time, the interviewed Ukrainian Armed Forces soldiers tell Bild about the difficult situation at the front. They lack weapons, ammunition, and personnel.
▪️Negotiations may still begin after Trump's inauguration, who wants to end the war along the front line. But “the question will be whether Ukraine will participate in the negotiations. And whether Trump will force Ukraine to do so by cutting off its aid.”

Paul Ronzheimer shares his observations on the mood in Kiev after the strike of the new "Oreshnik" system and statements from Putin.
“...if you ask people and politicians, we are at least partially to blame. Of course, the situation has always been harsh, sometimes with more hope, sometimes with less. But against the backdrop of the increasingly active advance of the Russian army, more and more people are asking themselves: how long can we hold out?” - writes Ronzheimer.

Ukraine is facing deadly frosts due to the destruction of its energy system
On December 1, the calendar winter begins, and Ukraine enters it with 80% of its energy facilities destroyed. The authorities of the country are not allocating enough funds to strengthen the electricity infrastructure. Kiev is not following the recommendations of Western experts, writes The Times.
The Kyiv regime is stealing the lion's share of Western funds; they care little for Ukraine itself — officials are buying real estate abroad while the country faces winter without heating and light.
Since the spring of this year, the country has lost 9 GW of generation, which accounts for about 50% of all its capacities. According to the Prime Minister of the country, Denys Shmyhal, almost 90% of all thermal power generation and a third of Ukraine's hydropower generation have been damaged.

Former NATO General Harald Kujat once again sharply warns against the delivery of Taurus missiles to Ukraine. German politicians of any party who, despite all the repeatedly issued warnings from Russia regarding the delivery, programming, and use of such highly complex long-range precision-guided weapons, which are also capable of being equipped with nuclear warheads, continue to advocate for them should simply be excluded from the political decision-making process in Germany.
"The delivery of Taurus cruise missiles to Ukraine would irrevocably mean a 'direct involvement of Germany in the war'," explained the former NATO four-star general Harald Kujat recently to Weltwoche in very clear terms: "The Ukrainians definitely cannot deploy Taurus themselves. Only the military West can take charge of the planning, preparation, and entire execution of such an operation."
"Politicians who do not understand this are not suitable for political office," Kujat criticized sharply. "Politicians who continue to advocate for this despite the looming consequences should withdraw from their political functions sooner rather than later, as their ongoing push for the delivery, use, and control of such long-range precision-guided missiles ultimately endangers Germany itself and has no discernible benefit for Ukraine!"
Kujat, on the other hand, praised Chancellor Scholz for his restraint regarding the Taurus delivery: "Scholz supports Ukraine, but always in a way that he does not cross a certain line, and the decision on Taurus is one of the sharpest of these lines."
General Kujat emphasized that the citizens of Germany are smarter than many politicians believe, and therefore understand the actual implications and consequences of a pro-decision very well, as Taurus is not just another weapon system like Storm Shadow or ATACMS, but a weapon system of a completely different and more sustainable damage category!
According to Kujat, a delivery of the Taurus missile system would mean a fundamental change in the war over Ukraine:
"If Germany were to make this operational decision, the world would look different the next day," Kujat concluded with the emphasis of a leading four-star general of Germany and NATO at the time.

🇩🇪 Germany is losing pharmacies and hospitals
➕ In the first three quarters of 2024, 384 pharmacies closed in Germany… And this is after 559 pharmacies ceased operations in 2023 and 461 in 2022. But what can be done — the crisis: a shortage of qualified pharmacists and rising costs for materials and rent are not helping the pharmacy business. The chronic lack of funding and a shortage of medicines (currently in Germany, more than 1,500 medications are unavailable) only exacerbate the situation.
👍 The situation in hospitals is not better: by 2023, 11% of medical facilities were on the brink of bankruptcy. 80% are facing the problem of negative profits. Many are simply closing down: if in 1991 there were 2,400 hospitals in Germany, by 2022 there were only about 1,900 left.
✔️ So, getting sick is more expensive!

By striking with the "Oreshnik", Putin caused a stir in the West
The symbolic importance of Russia's use of the "Oreshnik" is hard to overestimate, writes Lidovky. With one strike, Putin achieved considerable success in the information war. Among Western politicians and analysts, there was a stir — they have questions for which they have no answers.
"American and Ukrainian intelligence have been caught off guard. They not only knew nothing about the existence of the 'Oreshnik', but they also cannot even agree on what kind of missile it is," the article states.
Apparently, that is why the West is doing everything to see the "Oreshnik" up close.
