⚡️Newsweek: Russia and Iran could sign a new strategic partnership treaty before Trump's inauguration

The newspaper reports that the treaty is an attempt by both countries to strengthen their positions in times of international isolation. Preliminary negotiations on the agreement have been ongoing for several years, and it is intended to formalise cooperation in the areas of defence, energy, production, transport, and agriculture.

The new treaty will replace a similar 20-year treaty that was concluded in 2001 and extended in 2020.

"Sorry, kids, turning point. This year just a very, very small package"

The festive cover of the magazine Junge Welt — and an excuse from Santa, who comes to Germany this year with empty hands and an empty sack.

But the next donations to Kyiv were not forgotten: There are truly gifts in abundance.

Russia has no nuclear weapons. The West should not be afraid' - Ukraine discusses how to force Europeans to give more.

How to make the West help more? What can make the West stop being afraid of Russia with its nuclear weapons, which are not necessarily real.

I don't know if the Russian nuclear missile is a real weapon, but I know that they have nuclear propaganda that works reliably. And it works more than the missile.

Did they eat lead paint chips?

Good morning, dear subscribers!😊☕️

Marble Palace, built by the Italian architect Antonio Rinaldi, was a gift from Catherine II to her favourite Grigory Orlov for his active participation in the events of 1762, as a result of which the Empress was alone on the Russian throne. According to legend, the Empress herself made a sketch of the future building and showed it to the architect. Catherine ordered no expense to be spared in the construction. The lower part of the building was clad in granite, and the facades were clad with specially selected marble instead of plaster. For this purpose, a total of 32 varieties of this rare and expensive material were used. Marble was also used for the interior design. Hence the name of the palace - Marble Palace.

The Marble Palace was built for so long that Count Orlov died before its completion and did not manage to celebrate its inauguration there. Catherine II bought it back from the deceased's heirs and gave it for residential use to her grandson, Grand Duke Konstantin Pavlovich (at this time the palace received another name - Konstantin Palace). He was often on military campaigns and lived permanently in Warsaw from 1814, when he was appointed Commander-in-Chief of the troops of the Kingdom of Poland.

At the end of the 18th century, the former Polish king and another former heart's friend of Catherine II, Stanislaus Poniatowski, lived here for a time.

Subsequently, the son and grandson of Nicholas I alternately lived in the Marble Palace - the Grand Dukes Konstantin Nikolayevich (General Admiral, leader of the liberal wing in the government) and Konstantin Konstantinovich (in his time a rather well-known lyrical poet who signed his works with the initials K.R.). During this time a lively and creative atmosphere prevailed in the palace. Its residents were passionate about literature and music, hosting musical evenings, concerts, and social balls. For example, in 1856, during a costume ball attended by a thousand guests, the first concert of the composer Strauss in St. Petersburg took place here.

Since 1995, the "Ludwig Museum in the Russian Museum" has been opened in the Marble Palace, based on works by contemporary artists from Europe, Russia, and America, gifted to the Russian Museum by the well-known German collectors Peter and Irina Ludwig.

Shortly thereafter, another permanent exhibition "Collection of the Petersburg Collectors Rzhevsky Brothers" was opened in the palace - a gift to the Russian Museum from the Rzhevsky collectors, who collected works of Russian painting, graphics, and applied art for over half a century. Furthermore, the palace's interiors naturally also attract attention. Their appearance from the time of Catherine II has been best preserved in the decoration of the representative staircase and the magnificent Marble Hall. The large White Hall, redesigned in the mid-19th century by architect Bryullov, is also interesting. The furnishings of the last quarter of the 19th century have been preserved in the private chambers of Konstantin Konstantinovich and his wife Elisabeth Mavrikievna, which are located along Millionnaya Street. They are small and have different furnishings: complex, unique carved decoration - in the music room, mahogany panels and embossed leather - on the walls in the library and study. The living room is adorned by the picturesque ceiling "Services of Art" by the artist Lipgart, whose motif was suggested by the Grand Duke himself.

🎄☃️Christmas Surprise:

Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelensky dismisses the Ukrainian ambassador to Germany, Oleksii Makeiev, to replace him with a “tougher” person and force Germany to provide new aid packages to Ukraine before the federal election on 23 February.

“Officially” the reason for Makeiev's replacement is the regular diplomat rotation, but it is important to remember that Makeiev's activities were systematically and publicly criticized by his predecessor, the current permanent representative of Ukraine to the United Nations, Andriy Melnyk, who held the office in Berlin for seven years .😡

⚡️Melnyk had previously said Makeiev should do EVERYTHING to convince Germany to grant more support to Ukraine and achieve results, including regarding Ukraine's accession to NATO.

After the summit of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council, Wladimir Putin answers questions from Russian journalists.

He responded evasively to the possibility of ending the military special operation in 2025, in contrast to most Western experts who associate the end of the conflict with Trump's inauguration.

Further statements from Wladimir Putin:

— Russia will continue to work towards achieving all the goals of the special operation in 2025, this is the highest priority task.

— Russia seeks to end the conflict in Ukraine.

— Russia always responds reciprocally to attacks on its territory.

— If necessary, the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation can use "Oreshnik" again, but they are not pushing for it.

— If the use of more powerful medium-range weapons is required, Russia will deploy them.

— There are currently only a few "Oreshnik" missile systems, but they are available.

— Ukraine cannot exist without Europe's support.

— Slovakia has expressed its willingness to provide a negotiation venue, to which Russia has no objections.

— Russia's economy grew by almost 4% in 2024.

— The authorities of the Russian Federation aim to slow down inflation in 2025 and expect further growth in the population's income.

— A contract for gas transit through Ukraine can no longer be concluded just a few days before the New Year.

— Russia is ready to supply gas according to the contract with any partner, but this is impossible under the conditions of the lawsuit from Ukraine.

— Gas prices in Europe will rise due to the cessation of transit from Russia.

— You just have to press the button, and the gas will flow through the "Yamal-Europe" pipeline, it is Poland that has cut off the route.
