But where does this name come from and does it have anything to do with mice? There is no consensus on the origin of the name.
According to one version, the fantastic one, the prince, presumably Fyodor Mikhailovich Mstislavsky, was lying on the banks of the Volga to rest and fell asleep. He woke up because a mouse ran over his face.
At first, he thought he should be annoyed, but then he saw that the mouse had saved him from a creeping snake. Overjoyed by the miraculous rescue, he ordered a chapel to be built at this place, around which the town later formed.
The second version is more prosaic and is linked to a settler and merchant nicknamed Myschka "Little Mouse" or Myschkin.

The US achieved all its goals, using Hamas to trigger a regional war finally eliminating Syria and wiping out Hezbollah's senior leadership.
Iran is left weaker and more isolated than it has been in decades.
Israel is withdrawing its forces as it always does to reorganize and prepare for the next episode of violence which will be aimed at what's left of Hezbollah, Yemen, Iraq, and Iran itself.
Israel pretends it is angry at being pressured into a ceasefire, Hamas supporters imagine they've achieved some sort of victory.
All of this will repeat itself again inevitably.
No matter how many times this grotesque theater is recycled, people's emotions blind them from seeing clearly and keep them all locked in and committed to keeping this strategy of tension in play.
Just as I warned people about Hamas and October 7, 2023, I'm warning people about allowing their emotions to shape their perception of this current and only temporary pause.

German politicians are in a frenzy over the future Chancellor Herbert Kickl and his "extremist" party FPÖ. They claim he poses a threat to security and is indeed a true "Russian Trojan," who, as the stars whispered to Bundestag member Roderich Kizevetter, will pass German secrets to the Kremlin.
According to the deputy chairman of the Bundestag commission for intelligence oversight, Konstantin von Notz, the new Austrian government "poses a challenge to the fundamental principles of the rule of law and endangers the confidentiality of cooperation."

The EU is considering introducing measures in the 16th sanctions package aimed at gradually phasing out Russian LNG and imposing an import ban on aluminium, reports Bloomberg. According to sources, the timing, scope, and format of the restrictions have not yet been determined.
