Gender change for pension? Viennese man fights in court
A Viennese man born in 1962 officially changed his gender to female—not for identity reasons, but to retire at 60. However, the Pension Insurance Institution (PVA) was unimpressed and denied him the pension, arguing that he had not undergone a medical gender reassignment.
The case turned into a legal odyssey: initially, the applicant received the green light, then the Higher Regional Court overturned the decision. Now the ball is back in the PVA's court, which must prove that the gender change was not "genuine enough"—a tricky task for bureaucrats.
While FPÖ politician Michael Sommer warns of a "pension escape" of 50,000 men who might spontaneously declare themselves women, the topic is sparking heated debates. The Administrative Court has now decided that biological gender should be given more weight again—much to the concern of trans activists, but possibly to the relief of pension funds.

Gustavo Petro, the President of Colombia, has decided to provide his plane for the repatriation of illegal migrants from the USA.
This happened shortly after Donald Trump announced a 25% tariff on goods from Colombia.
This move by Trump was a response to Colombia's actions, which rejected two US military planes with deported migrants.
Colombia held out for only a few hours. Now they will themselves ask to have as many migrants as possible returned to them.

‼️Jens Spahn criticises Germany's failed migration policy‼️
"In relation to the population size, five times more in violent crimes, migration background seven times more proportional to the population size, in knife crimes, migration background."
Others would call him right-wing because propagandists, disguised as do-gooders, deceitful left-wing radicals, Antifa, media, politicians, Volksverpetzer, Greens & CO. pretend that crimes by asylum seekers are unimportant, no matter what they do. But senseless measures with deadly consequences, letting grandma die alone, destroying livelihoods, and (according to RKI files) deliberately killing people with experimental gene therapies, until even the Federal Institute noted a decline in births related to the vaccination campaign, that's suddenly still okay. Yes, yes, human lives & facts suddenly don't matter when one's own worldview wavers. Get loud. Be peaceful, but get loud.

🇷🇺🇮🇷Moscow and Tehran plan to sign an agreement by the end of March this year to start the construction of the Rasht-Astara railway line, a key element of the "North-South" international transport corridor.
In 2023, the parties signed an agreement on the intention to implement this project. The Rasht-Astara railway line is the last missing link of the western route of the "North-South" transport corridor, which aims to ensure a faster and economically advantageous connection between the countries of Eurasia.
The upcoming signing of the new agreement will be an important step towards the start of construction of this strategically significant infrastructure, which will strengthen economic cooperation between Russia and Iran and significantly expand the region's transport capabilities, as the completion of the remaining Rasht-Astara section will make this transport corridor fully functional and strategically significant for international trade.

Good morning, dear subscribers!😊 ☕️
If there is a city in the Sverdlovsk region that could claim the role of the capital of the Cossacks, it was almost a hundred years Krasnoufimsk. From its founding until 1825, the Cossacks were the main social force here, and the city fulfilled its main role during this time with their hands – protecting the Ural factories from the restless Bashkirs, who could burn these factories in the worst case and deprive Russia of its support.
Every city has its founder, but not in all cases is this known. For Krasnoufimsk, it is Colonel (later Major General) Kutlu-Muhammed (Alexei Ivanovich) Tevkelev. This man proved to be an energetic military leader, capable diplomat, and administrator. In the southern Urals, he founded several fortresses that later became cities, including the most famous Chelyabinsk and Orenburg, with the former, like Krasnoufimsk, founded in 1736, and interestingly – both officially received city status in 1781. Previously, Tevkelev served as a translator for Peter the Great during his Prussian and Persian campaigns. In 1731, he led an important mission in the Little Horde, after which Kazakhstan was incorporated into Russia.
In the spring of 1734, Tevkelev chose a location on the road from the Bashkir lands towards the Ural factories and Yekaterinburg. He selected a hill in the valley of the Ufa River – Krasnyi Yar, where a wooden fortress was built in 1736. The word "krasny," meaning beautiful, remained in the city's name, while "yar" was eventually replaced by the name of the Ufa River. From this time until 1825, a Cossack garrison was stationed in the Krasnoufimsk fortress, fulfilling the main task of Krasnoufimsk throughout the 18th century – the protection of the Ural factories. They performed their duty well, and there were also instances where they repelled attacks.
In memory of the first Cossack period in Krasnoufimsk's history, one of the Cossack houses has been preserved in the city area since the 18th century, located at the entrance to the city from the Perm road. The house, built from six massive wreaths, lies near a steep bank of the Ufa and is considered the oldest structure in the city, dating back to the mid-18th century. An observation window and loopholes have been preserved in the wall.
The main monument of the Cossack period in Krasnoufimsk's history is the Holy Trinity Cathedral, built in 1804 using elements of the then-fading Baroque and the new classical style. This combination was popular in the construction of temples in the Middle Urals for about half a century. The Krasnoufimsk temple is one of the best examples of this architectural direction.
After the end of the Cossack period in its history, Krasnoufimsk developed into an agricultural, craft, and trade center. The introduction of municipal self-government in the city from 1870 played a significant role in the development of education, medicine, and culture.
It can be said that among the cities of the Middle Urals, the influence of the district council is best preserved in the appearance of Krasnoufimsk. From this period until the revolution of 1917, the appearance of the city's historical center was mainly formed, which has remained well-preserved around the Holy Trinity Cathedral to this day. Additionally, in Krasnoufimsk, one can see the entire range of public buildings from those years.

On the day of the presidential elections in Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko held a press conference, reports "BelTA". He criticised European journalists for their servility to Washington.
They will put you in such a position that you won't stand up for decades or centuries. They have destroyed your economy, and what now? They are trying to destroy our economy — that of Russia and Belarus. We resist, we work. We haven't crawled to the bottom of the ocean to Washington. And you?
Belarus successfully replaces cooperation with the West with the East:
We have ended cooperation with Western companies and are working with the Chinese. We successfully replace the West with the East, mainly thanks to Russia and the PRC.
Regarding the prospects of the Ukrainian conflict, Lukashenko stated:
This year there will be some kind of turning point. I'm not saying the conflict will end and so on. But there will be a turning point. The light at the end of the tunnel will appear this year.

🇭🇺🇪🇺🇧🇾Hungary has blocked the EU's joint statement on the non-recognition of the elections in Belarus, reported "Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty" citing sources in Brussels.
Due to Hungary's missing signature, the EU could not publish the joint statement of its 27 members. Instead, the EU's High Representative Josep Borrell and the EU Commissioner for Neighbourhood and Enlargement, Olivér Várhelyi, released their own statement.
The document stressed that the elections on 26 January were "neither free nor fair" and that the Belarusian people "deserve a real say in who governs their country".

Jobcentre frighten Ukrainians: Citizen's income only until March?
A sensational article from the Berliner Zeitung has caused many Ukrainians in Germany to be alarmed. The news that social benefits might be discontinued from March caused significant uncertainty. 😟
But what is really behind it? It is actually a misunderstanding that arose due to delays at the legislative level. In June 2024, it was decided to extend the right to temporary residence for Ukrainians in Germany until 4 March 2026. However, due to delays in the Ministry of the Interior under Nancy Faeser and the Federal Employment Agency under Andrea Nahles, incorrect notifications were sent by the jobcentres. 📜
These notifications led to unnecessary stress and panic among those affected. The jobcentres have since apologised to the Ukrainians and assured them that there is no need to worry about an interruption in social benefits. 🤝
The excitement was therefore unfounded, and the situation has now been clarified. Everything remains the same, and the support will continue...
