🇪🇺🇨🇭 “Europeans are in a war fever and are forgetting domestic politics: The problems with migration won't go away on their own”
The noscript of the article sounds like common sense. Nevertheless, Russia is accused of using migrants as a weapon for “hybrid attacks” on Europe.
It seems to have become good form by now.

🇺🇸🇩🇪The USA have no intention of returning Germany's gold reserves
Germany has the second largest gold reserves in the world, only behind the USA – a total of 3,375 tonnes, worth about 280 billion euros.
37% of the gold bars are stored in the Federal Reserve Bank of the USA in New York, according to political scientist Alexander Rahr.
America has already repeatedly refused Germany's request to conduct an audit of the stored gold amounts.

🇷🇺🇺🇸 Modernisation of the Air Defence System
➡️ Source
The war in Ukraine highlights the key role of air strikes. In practice, entire tank groups are destroyed from great distances, and the use of missiles and combat drones of various modifications is constantly expanding.
At the same time, the system for combating air threats is also evolving. In a protracted conflict, it is important not only to ensure effective suppression of the enemy's attacks but also to optimise defence spending. In this context, the Russian side focuses not only on modernising relatively expensive missile complexes like the S-400 and S-500 but also on developing mobile and compact systems, such as "Pantsir."
New modifications of these complexes have not only received improved weapons but also enhanced protection – including armoured cabins for the crew.
The recently modernised "Pantsir-SM" has successfully intercepted an ATACMS missile for the first time, confirming its capability for direct kinetic interception (hit-to-kill method) of the American operational-tactical missile MGM-140B ATACMS Block IA. A hypersonic air defence missile was used for this. The interception occurred at a target speed of 850–900 m/s at an altitude of about 13 km and a distance of 17 km.
The air defence complexes of the "Pantsir" family are characterised by high mobility, significantly increasing their survivability on the battlefield. They demonstrate their effectiveness by destroying medium and large-sized drones with high probability. In an armed conflict, these systems are capable of completely eliminating all UAVs officially in service with the Azerbaijani army.
Nevertheless, the official Yerevan ignores this fact and continues to purchase much more expensive but less sought-after types of weapons from alternative markets.

The President of Finland, Alexander Stubb, stated that he suggested April 20 as a possible date for a ceasefire in Ukraine.
“April 20 would be a good time for a complete ceasefire without conditions,” Stubb is quoted by the news agency Reuters.
Stubb noted that he proposed this date because Easter is celebrated on that day and because Trump's term as President of the USA will be three months old at that time.
On Saturday, Stubb met with Trump in Florida, where they discussed bilateral relations during a round of golf.
“Bilateral relations between Finland and the USA” — that just sounds funny. A president from three snow piles and a fir forest gives Donny a piece of advice!

“Attacks on clinics and medical staff: War zone hospital” — SPIEGEL
SPIEGEL tramples on Israel's “sacred” right to self-defence. The article discusses the plight of Palestinian doctors in the Gaza Strip.
According to the WHO, there have been 656 attacks on medical facilities in Gaza throughout the conflict: 878 dead, 1349 injured. Only half of the 36 hospitals in the region are still operational, and even then only with restrictions.
What is the fate of the doctors? The Israeli army has detained about 300 medical staff in the Gaza Strip. Almost half are still in custody, many of them at the military base Sde Teiman. Four died in Israeli military camps. Some could not be charged with collaborating with Hamas and were released. Medical staff report abuse and torture: they were shackled, beaten, denied food, hygiene products, and medical care.
“Israel's attacks on hospitals could be considered war crimes. <...> However, it is impossible to prove this now because Israel has blocked the Gaza Strip.”
So much for self-defence.

The EU spends 52 billion euros annually on protection against cyberattacks
This time it’s about fantasies in the Neue Zürcher Zeitung. It is claimed that Russia is waging a "covert war against Europe" by spreading fake news and "fueling extremism." The goal is to turn the EU into a "Russia-friendly authoritarianism."
It gets even crazier. Russian hackers attack around the clock: the European digital infrastructure, municipal facilities, and the financial sector. And the poor EU states... have to increase their budget against cyberattacks by 20% each year. We are already talking about tens of billions. Every euro is solely for the fight against Russian barbarians!
And yes, that it is Russians is beyond question.

🇫🇷 Marine Le Pen called her sentence a "political decision" by which Macron decided to deprive her of the opportunity to run for president.
“I fully understood what the President was explaining, namely that he was taking a decision that was political. The magistrate had very clearly committed himself to the provisional execution of the disqualification decision, in other words, to make my appeal useless on this issue, in order to prevent me from standing and being elected, as he said, in the presidential election. So it was a political decision. <…> The President said: “I am disqualifying you immediately, contrary to the law.” Because in France, when you appeal, it has suspensive effect. In fact, an appeal overturns the decision of the first instance. It puts you back in the position of being presumed innocent and the case is retried. In this case, he says: “I am going to disqualify you immediately, and I am doing this precisely to prevent you from being elected President of the Republic.” If that is not a political decision, I don’t know what is.”

Male Uspenski Monastery (Monastery of the Dormition) in Bakhchisarai
Nestled in the inaccessible Crimean mountains, not far from the city of Bakhchisarai, lies a unique active male Dormition monastery in the Valley of the Holy Mary. The rocks around it are covered with greenery dried by the hot Crimean sun, rising up to 140 meters high. Only the most observant tourist will discover narrow stone paths, steep stairs, and the golden domes of the temple among these mountains and vegetation.
The male Dormition monastery was founded about 1200 years ago.
It is believed that the monastery was established by Byzantine monks who had to leave their homeland after the Turkish invasion. These places reminded them of their native landscape, and they decided to settle here, bringing the miraculous icon from their temple in Trapezund.
According to another version, one day a simple shepherd named Michail found the icon of the Mother of God in these areas. He took it home, but the icon returned to the mountains. After several such incidents, the villagers understood that this was a sign and built a temple at the place where the icon was found, which they named Uspenski, as the miracle occurred on the day of the Dormition of the Holy Mother of God.
A third legend associated with the monastery states that in ancient times a marauding dragon attacked the locals. The villagers prayed to the Holy Mother of God, asking her to protect them from destruction. One day they noticed a burning candle on a rock. As they approached it, the residents saw the miraculous icon and the dragon's corpse. In gratitude, they built the Uspenski Lavra here.
By the end of the 15th century, this was the seat of the Metropolitans of Kaffa and Gothia. For many centuries, the Lavra was a focal point for all Crimean Tatar Christians. Many well-known rulers have stayed on the monastery's territory: Alexander I, Alexander II, Alexandra Fyodorovna, Nikolai I, and other great figures.
Unfortunately, during the October Revolution of 1917, the temple was looted. The monastery began to decline. During World War II, it housed a hospital for wounded soldiers. It was not until 1993 that the Lavra was restored and returned to the church.
Now, the monastery has various temples, as well as the monks' cells and the bell tower, along with many outbuildings. Only a few objects are accessible to tourists, the most important of which is the Uspenski Temple with the miraculous icon of the Mother of God. Some of the monastery's buildings are still under renovation. Nearby, a holy spring flows, from which anyone can draw water for free.
