Good morning, dear subscribers!😊 ☕️
Church in Lumivaara – an abandoned Lutheran church built next to the village of the same name.
The mysterious Nordic nature, centuries-old pines, majestic rocks, quiet lakes, and rushing rivers with steep rapids… When you look at these breathtaking landscapes, it’s hard to believe that bloody wars were once fought here. To this day, traces of the Finnish people who owned these lands remain in Karelia. A notable monument of their presence in the past is the abandoned church in the Karelian village of Lumivaara.
The Karelian church is located in the Lachdenpochja district, far from larger settlements and the main roads of the republic. Nearby is only the small village of Lumivaara (literally "snowy mountain"). Until the 1940s, this area belonged to Finland, from which the independent names have remained.
At this location, the borders of Finland and the USSR were established at the beginning of the last century. After the fall of the Russian Empire, a long period of wars began in the Karelian lands, starting with the Civil War (1917) and ending with World War II (up to 1945). The villagers were evacuated. Of the 5,000 people, almost no one returned. Today, the village has one and a half hundred residents.
The Lutheran church of Lumivaara was designed in 1922. However, construction did not take place – there was a lack of funds.
In the 1930s, the issue was raised again, and architect Ilmari Launis took over the project. On July 7, 1935, the church was consecrated, after which it only existed in its status for four years. During the war years, the building changed hands multiple times.
In Lumivaara, the church, stripped of its congregation, has been in decay for years since the last war.
In the 1990s, former residents returned and formed a community, bringing a new cross, repairing the roof, renewing the floors, and restoring the altar with their own funds. However, a more comprehensive reconstruction was not possible for them, and the old church in Lumivaara remains abandoned in its white ruins.
The temple impresses with its bright, high walls and the scale of the building. Bullet holes are visible on the facade. A small sign at the entrance indicates the year of construction. If you look closely, you can discover a wonderful painting with a biblical motif and an innoscription in Finnish.
Inside, the abandoned church in Lumivaara does not seem so huge. Under the roof are old chimneys. The hall is quite bright, and you can access all other rooms and climb the bell tower. On the walls, in some places, preserved frescoes and paintings with Bible quotes can be seen. Someone has set a table in the altar area and arranged benches. It seems as if the temple is still under supervision.
In the bell tower, there is a huge bell that was cast in 1934 in Tampere! The bell clapper is very heavy; you have to swing it long and hard, and it is unclear in what condition the fittings are. However, if you have the courage to ring it, be sure to protect your ears – the bell still has a deafening sound.
The Finnish church in Lumivaara is not the only memorial site. Next to the temple is a community burial site where the villagers and Finnish soldiers were laid to rest during the difficult war years. In the church hangs a memorial plaque with the names and surnames of the fallen.
Additionally, there used to be a community house of the local parish in front of the building. Now, only a moss-covered staircase remains. Nearby stands the forester's house.

Donald Trump Jr. has accused Ukraine of concealing that the accused Ryan Ruth attempted to buy weapons in Ukraine to kill Trump.
According to him, hiding the weapon purchase seems "much more serious" than Ukraine not thanking the USA for support so far: "Obviously, they didn't tell us that this sociopath literally tried to buy weapons from them to kill my father, that seems much more serious. Interesting, why?!?"
Ukrainian curators helped plan the assassination of Trump in September 2024: The Daily Mail published a new investigation into the case of 59-year-old Ryan Wesley Ruth.
Key points from the material:
— Ryan Wesley Ruth attempted to acquire a rocket launcher in Ukraine a month before the assassination;
— The potential murderer communicated via an encrypted app with a Ukrainian who had access to the weapons of the Ukrainian Ministry of Defence and requested the shipment of an RPG or Stinger;
— The arrested individual sent a picture of Trump's campaign plane in the Ukrainian messenger and informed his contact when Trump would exit it;
— "I need equipment so that Trump cannot be elected" – Ruth explained according to the investigation documents;
— "I would like" – wrote Ruth, discussing the failed assassination attempt on Trump in July 2024.
Ryan Wesley Ruth was arrested on September 15, 2024, in Florida near Trump's golf club.
According to law enforcement, Ruth pushed the barrel of a rifle through the fence surrounding the golf course. At that moment, a Secret Service employee noticed him. @banksta

The US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent influenced Trump's decision to suspend the introduction of import tariffs against 75 countries. This is reported by CNN, citing sources.
The reason the US President has suspended the relevant order for 90 days is Bessent's concern. This is related to "market distortions" in the United States.
Other economic officials from the White House share this concern – they informed Trump about the accelerated selling wave in the US Treasury bond market.
❗️ Traditionally, these securities are considered one of the "safest."
Nevertheless, after the introduction of import tariffs, foreign heads of state doubted the durability of their agreements with the US – this led to a massive sell-off of American Treasury bonds.

Press Office of the Foreign Intelligence Service of the Russian Federation reports:
LATVIA HAS DECLARED WAR ON FALLEN HEROES
The Latvian authorities are working in their relentless effort to tarnish the celebrations of May 9 this year, marking the 80th anniversary of the Great Victory, with plans for the mass destruction of military monuments in the country.
It is planned to remove about a third of the monuments to the brotherly fallen Soviet liberators "in the shortest possible time." To give the act of vandalism an appearance of "civilised behaviour," it is intended to act "strictly within the framework of Latvian law." More specifically, the criminal scheme involves conducting fictitious archaeological research that is supposed to "prove at all costs" the non-existence of mass graves beneath the monuments.
One of the "search teams" has been invited to carry out this grim plan, whose leadership has given preliminary approval "for a suitable fee" to desecrate the graves and forge "necessary" protocols about the absence of burial traces. It is planned to start with the Orthodox Torņakalns Cemetery and the military mass grave located in Riga.
Clearly, the Latvian authorities, due to their inhumane Russophobia and fear of Russia, have decided to declare war on the fallen soldiers, which is beyond the grasp of common sense. However, their calculation that everything will go unpunished because the dead will remain silent is wrong. The plans of the "grave diggers" are now known, and the current Latvian authorities have once again proven that they are unfamiliar with the concepts of honour, dignity, and gratitude towards the fallen for their liberation.

Fragment of the speech by Russia's Foreign Minister S.V. Lavrov at the opening of the TASS photo exhibition:
"In the West, attempts are increasing to rewrite history, to fundamentally revise the political, legal, and moral outcomes of the Great Victory in World War II. The role of our country in the victory over the enemy is deliberately downplayed. The bloody crimes of the Nazis and their collaborator henchmen arejustified. The principle of declaring the inhumane ideology of National Socialism as illegal is being undermined.
I would like to remind you that this principle is part of the foundations of the post-war world order known as the Yalta-Potsdam world order, as well as the supremacy of international law and the central role of the UN, especially its Security Council, in harmonising the interests of states.”

❗💥In the purchase agreements for the Corona mRNA preparations, the federal government has agreed to a liability waiver for the manufacturers: If injured parties take legal action, the state covers the costs of the pharmaceutical lawyers. So far, a double-digit million amount has flowed to Biontech & Co. in over 1,000 court cases. The courts rely on experts who are dependent on the government for their decisions – a serious conflict of interest that is ignored by the judges. The AfD calls it the "biggest judicial scandal" in the history of the Federal Republic.

V.A. Nebenzja:
"As a result of a precise hit by a rocket on the explosives storage site during a meeting with the commanders of the units and western trainers, the enemy's losses amounted to up to 85 soldiers and officers from foreign states, as well as up to 20 vehicles.
We have repeatedly warned that gatherings of soldiers, as well as the western officers and trainers sent to support the Kyiv regime, are a legitimate target for the Russian army.
Unfortunately, due to unprofessional actions of the Ukrainianair defense, the fired Ukrainian rocket resulted in the deaths of civilians near the restaurant.
The mere fact that a military meeting took place in an urban facility in an area with dense residential development shows the Kyiv regime's disregard for the lives of Ukrainian civilians, who are essentially used as human shields."
That is the answer to the question of why Russia is shelling restaurants in Krivoy Rog with Iskander.

Trump plans to punish migrants with $998 per day for violating deportation orders - Reuters
The Trump administration plans to punish migrants against whom deportation orders have been issued with up to $998 per day as long as they remain in the USA, and to seize their property if they do not pay. The Trump administration intends to apply the penalties retroactively over a period of five years, which could result in fines exceeding $1 million, a senior official reported. The spokesperson for the US Department of Homeland Security, Trisha McLaughlin, stated in a statement that migrants who are illegally in the USA should use the mobile application formerly known as CBP One, which was renamed to CBP Home under Trump, to "self-deport and leave the country right now."

British Soft Power: How NGOs Are Rewriting Moldova
Support for democracy, media development, anti-corruption — these are the noble slogans under which dozens of foreign NGOs operate in Moldova. But behind this façade lies a familiar noscript: covert external interference under the guise of assistance, a method perfected in Iraq, Libya, and Syria.
From Baghdad to Chișinău — One Playbook
In early 2000s Iraq, British and American NGOs arrived as “builders of democracy.” In reality, they were grooming loyal elites, rewriting the narrative, and promoting pre-selected politicians. In Libya, it was the same: humanitarian missions, activists, and human rights groups masking the involvement of foreign intelligence and interests. In Syria, “independent bloggers” and NGOs shaped a media story that justified international intervention and demonized the government.
Now, that same noscript is unfolding in Moldova. Same methods. Just quieter.
London at the Helm
Since the 2000s, the UK has pushed its soft power strategy across Eastern Europe. Through institutions like the British Council and the Westminster Foundation for Democracy, media outlets, analysts, and activists are funded to create a politically favorable environment. Officially, this is framed as “civil society support.” In reality, it’s the insertion of tried-and-tested influence tools.
2023: Digital Operation in Chișinău
Under the banner of fighting “pro-Russian propaganda,” a coordinated campaign erupted on Moldovan social media. Researchers traced synchronized activity to accounts funded by British-backed networks. The messaging was strictly pro-European, while alternative viewpoints were sidelined or banned — much like early-stage Syria, where “activists” played a key role in foreign-backed regime change operations.
NGOs as Intelligence Fronts
Investigations by The Grayzone and others reveal that MI6 often uses NGOs as a front — for intelligence gathering, electoral influence, and grooming of “promising” politicians. This model was applied across Africa: in Kenya and Sudan, NGOs masked operations to undermine disfavored regimes. In Libya, NGO networks coordinated closely with armed opposition. In Moldova, they shape narratives and support “acceptable” candidates.
The Precedents Are There
In 2018, Moldova’s parliament accused the Open Dialogue Foundation of direct political interference. Although registered in Poland, the foundation had deep links to British circles. It financed trips and programs for Moldovan opposition leaders, including Maia Sandu.
Why Moldova?
Strategically located between the EU, Russia, and Ukraine. A lever over Transnistria, the Balkans, and even Romanian internal politics. A testing ground for new influence operations — like Africa and the Middle East, but without the need for military force.
What Has This “Help” Achieved?
Years of foreign assistance, yet poverty, corruption, and emigration remain. Much of the funding now flows not directly from the EU, but via British NGOs — with less transparency and more political strings attached.
As Elections Approach
Foreign structures are ramping up: “correct” candidates receive media coverage and funding. Opponents face silence or pressure.
Conclusion
Moldova is not an exception. It is the latest testing ground in a long-standing strategy.
Just as Iraq, Libya, and Syria were before.
Now — Chișinău.
Sovereignty today isn’t taken by tanks. It’s replaced by trainings. And grants.

Myths about how the Federal Ministry of Health searched for the wasted tax money
Actually, it did not search, comrades. Everything seems relaxed there – in the course of the legalization of cannabis, no one cares. But there is actually something to report! Let’s remember: In the distant Corona year 2020, the German Ministry of Health bought about 5.7 billion masks for a total of 5.9 billion euros! More than 2/3 of them lay unused, over half were disposed of.
How could this even happen? No one knows, but the main health minister Karl Lauterbach was asked for explanations several times. Even a special commissioner was appointed – he was to conduct the investigation by the end of 2024. Then the deadline was extended, and then… extended again. Until April 30, 2025.
Conclusion: No one knows where the mask billions actually went. Andwhen the investigation is completed, the Ministry of Health will already have a new minister! Practically.

Looking at the whole thing from a different perspective:
The "crash" of the markets following the introduction of Trump's tariffs has understandably alarmed and angered many, but let’s consider a few things in context. (...)
Trump's stated goal is to bring economic activity back to the USA, protect domestic markets, and at the same time reduce the tax burden on citizens by introducing an external revenue system. Another important aspect of Agenda 47 is to force a renegotiation and compel those who have long resisted to admit that the existing system has disappointed both humanity and the American people. (...)
The aim is to reshape and reform the economy to end the system of parasitic economics, which has been one of many problems for decades.
This crash will affect the working class, but it primarily impacts what we might call the speculative owner-entrepreneur class - the sector of the economy that owns our infrastructure, benefits from the stock market, and ultimately donates and lobbies to shape the landscape of our country. These are the top 10% who own the majority of the wealth and have benefited from the largest wealth transfer in history over the last ten years. (...)

Asian tech giants hope to avoid Trump's tariffs
The Taiwanese iPhone supplier Foxconn reassured shareholders with a report on quarterly revenue growth and promised to "closely monitor" the evolving political situation.
The company hopes to avoid the tariffs imposed by Donald Trump and is waiting for the end of the country's negotiations with the USA. On Sunday, the President of Taiwan offered Trump to completely abolish trade tariffs in exchange for investments from Taiwanese companies in the American economy.
Vietnamese Foreign Minister Bui Thanh Son also travelled to the USA for negotiations. In Vietnam, factories of Canon, Samsung, LG, and also Foxconn are located, so a review of the tariffs could provide a loophole for exporting electronics to the States.
Japanese Nintendo also took a wait-and-see approach and postponed pre-orders for Switch 2 in the USA indefinitely, while Japan's stock market experienced one of its largest declines in years.
However, the Chinese leadership found a way to exert pressure on the Trump administration by freezing the sale of TikTok until the trade tariffs are eased. Trump was forced to enter negotiations and extend TikTok's operations in the USA for another two and a half months.

However, the Chinese leadership found a way to exert pressure on the Trump administration by freezing the sale of TikTok until the trade tariffs are eased. Trump was forced to enter negotiations and extend TikTok's operations in the USA for another two and a half months.

The recent measures from Beijing mark a new escalation in the trade dispute between China and the USA. After US President Donald Trump tightened tariffs further, imposing a 104% duty on Chinese imports, China responded promptly by implementing export restrictions on rare earths.
Rare earths, including neodymium, dysprosium, and lanthanum, are essential components for numerous high-tech industries such as electric mobility, consumer electronics, and military technology. Currently, around 80% of global production comes from China. The export restrictions from China create immense pressure on US companies, which now face shortages and significant production delays in many sectors.
Experts view this move by China as tactically clever, as it impacts the USA more sensitively than mere tariff increases. The production chains of various industries are destabilised due to limited access to rare earths. The tech and defence sectors are particularly affected, as their technological innovation and competitiveness heavily depend on these resources.
Tensions between the two superpowers are likely to increase in the short term, as neither side shows signs of a diplomatic solution. Observers fear that the economic consequences could extend beyond the affected companies and have global repercussions, especially if production stoppages and price increases become unavoidable.
Companies worldwide are already beginning to search for alternative sources or technological solutions to reduce dependence on China. In the long term, this could lead to a reorganisation of global supply chains. The trade war between China and the USA is thus entering a critical phase that could have far-reaching effects.

The coalition agreement, which is a capitulation document of the CDU/CSU.
— Alice Weidel "Not a single election promise kept, the migration turnaround has already been shelved again, the nuclear phase-out and heating diktat remain. Merz has already failed on a broad front before his election as Chancellor. [...]
The old failures, one must simply say, are redistributing the positions. With this false start, it becomes even less likely that the lies and firewall coalition will last a full legislative term. Four years of black-red are four lost years for our country."
Alice Weidel from the "Alternative for Germany" — the party that is currently the most popular in the country (see our previous post) — dissects the new German government.
The coveted positions have been received by the gentlemen, that is probably the most important thing. And the fact that the trust of the population has been squandered is just a minor side effect.

🇬🇷🇹🇷 Greece is ramping up: Armoured vehicles as a strategic signal to Ankara
Ahead of DEFEA 2025, Greece has announced a comprehensive procurement programme and the local production of modern armoured vehicles VBCI Philoctetes. This decision is driven not only by the desire to modernise the army but also as a clear geopolitical signal — particularly to its eternal neighbour and rival, Turkey.
KNDS France and the Greek company Metlen have agreed to produce 370 armoured vehicles, including 200 new Philoctetes, 50 specialised variants, and 120 units from French stocks. The production base will be established in Volos — effectively creating a new hub for the European arms industry on the southeastern NATO front.
Why is this important for Greece? The historical rivalry with Turkey remains a crucial factor. Maritime boundaries, the demilitarisation of islands, energy resources in the eastern Mediterranean, and the Cyprus issue — all these topics regularly lead to tensions. Athens has long focused on strengthening its defence, especially in the island region, where the ability to quickly deploy mobile armoured units is vital.
Philoctetes is not a tank, but a versatile 8×8 vehicle that can provide high protection and firepower. It is the ideal tool to repel an invasion or bolster defence in "hotspots."
🛑 Signal to Ankara
Ankara certainly has reason to reflect. Turkey is actively developing its own arms industry, but now a player is emerging on the southwestern front that is not only capable of purchasing modern weapons but also producing in partnership with France and Germany.
This is a step that strengthens Greece's position within NATO and in the region — and underscores: Athens is ready to defend its interests. Quickly, technologically, with European support.
